Sally the Stray

, ,

OK peoples...seriously,my kids never fail to amaze me! The girls have been keeping a close eye on this adorable little dog whom we have named "Sally". She is very good natured and sweet...but I am trying to find her a home. My husband and I are 'thinking about' keeping her. I just don't know with the cats we have already, it just feels crowded with another animal. Anyone have any advice on what we should do with her? Click on the picture to be led to the starter album.

The Dead Beta Fish

, , , ...

Well...I guess our Beta Fish just died. I changed his water this morning and put 'clear water' in there, as we normally do.... He seemed really fine at first, swimming around happily.

I checked on him about 2 hours later and he was floating. :eyes: I poked him, but he sort of twitched and went to the bottom...then slowly floated head first, body down. It was weird. Eh.. anyway I flushed him and said a little prayer. He was with us for about a year now...poor guy. :frown: I guess I could have buried him in the back, but he was sort of still twitching, I would have felt bad.

Bye little guy! (I never named him, bad fish karma)

My husband and I got my daughter a Samsung Behold phone. I opened it this morning when FedEx delivered it (although my daughter informed me that she wanted to open it) I wanted to have it charged for her before she got home from school. It's a graduation present. She just recently graduated from Jr.High and she did a wonderful job the whole way through. She is entering highschool so I really think that she needs a reliable cell phone for pics, messaging etc.

Meg, my sis, thought that it was a little excessive. But in my opinion it's not, because most kids don't even have to graduate to get a phone! They can just give their parents puppy dog eyes and get what they want. So...I think she is going to love it. Also Meghan and I decided that we are going to save for a trip to New York as a High School graduation present for her! :hat: I am excited about it! In 4 years.....

Anyway...this is the last week of school for all the girls. It will be so nice to have lazy mornings before the beginning of the new school year in August. I am just excited in general for my girls....the twins will be going to Jr.High and my oldest to High School. I can't believe that I am writing it...Someday I will be telling you guys about them going to college. So...just get used to me! p: I am going to be here for a while.

Dear Kid Sunday

Dear Kid,
Thanks so much for the beautiful drawing that you made for me earlier this week. I saw you sitting there working intently on a project and didn't expect you to hand it to me...so lovingly and sweet. I am looking forward to the dress up party we are having this week with your friends N and B. I think you guys are going to have a fantastic time with your popcorn, movies and dress up! We are going to take lots of pics and just enjoy our Spring break time. Just wanted you to know, M, you requested...

(we hand made the invites and delivered them)

I know that it will be fun.

Kids Down the Block.

, , , ...

Earlier, I had the pleasure of hearing my daughter scream from down the street from where she was playing. This is never a good thing, especially when it is her scream of anger and detest. I know my daughter's screams.....apparently.

She came running into the house and cried, "They took all my gum!!" Ok, now...do what? Poor baby was sobbing and could barely get her words out clearly. She explained to me that she gave away her Watermelon Huba Bubba to the kids and they just grabbed it and ran off not worrying about playing with her one bit. So anyway, later 2 of the kids brought a note to the door and rang the doorbell and ran. Now isn't that just the cutest? Awwww so wonderful how children are raised now a days. NOT!

So I went outside to gingerly talk to the kids  and let them know how it isn't nice to write letters like that to others and all of that politically correct things. One of the older sisters came roaring down the street in her big A truck and asked what was going on.

*my thoughts inside my brain immediately were*
Ok NUMBER 1 chick, YOU ARE 4 HOUSES DOWN, WALK!
Number 2, Your big A truck doesn't intimidate me.
Number 3, Your the big sister...not the mother. Get me the mother!

So after the teen realized that I wasn't going to give her the note, she put her big A truck into reverse and went home.

I had my little talk with the kids and then went home, it was as simple as that. Brings me to a memory that I have growing up in my neighborhood as a child. There was a guy that lived down the street named Brandon Bacon. We used to call him Brandon 'Burnt' Bacon. Poor kid awww But he wouldn't be afraid to hit me! :eyes: I would fight boys all the time, but he would go for blood! :faint: Anyway....he is in prison now for something or another.

awww Let's just all get along. awww
