I am a huge fan of this blog, "Things Your Grandmother Knew" and wanted to share with you one of the post, "Ironing Making a Comeback?" I decided to take down the ironing board from the very tip top of my laundry closet and dust off the old iron! I haven't used the iron in ages!
How many of you iron any of your clothing? While doing laundry, I left the iron out on the hottest setting with a cup of water on the side to continually fill the steam part of it. I don't even know what that is called!
I ironed one of my favorite sheets and thought it turned out so pretty! (but that doesn't mean I will be ironing sheets in the future!
The sheet before.
The sheet after.
While I was doing that, Cinnamon sat beside me...bored as a dog could be.
Well give it ago at your own sheets. Supposedly ironing sheets kills dust mites. Not that we have any, we just got all new mattresses. But I don't see myself busting out all the sheets that are in the linen closet just yet....

I woke up this morning and grabbed my cell phone as I usually do to check overnight messages. Sometimes my crazy friends will forward me different little messages and random thoughts that they are having at 1 am. So I thought that I would get in contact with a friend of mine that CLAIMED they don't mind being bugged at anytime! If you are someone with a lot on your mind, like me, then you will take someone up on their offer to be bugged!
Last night I had to write several people, especially friends here in Opera. I hope they appreciate my letters. I love you guys and thanks for being there for me when I need you. Maybe one day we can meet in person and hang out and have a cup of coffee. Amir, you need to make a trip to the US so that Karen, yourself and I can all get together.
This weekend we went to visit family out of town and on the way back stopped by the Wichita Mountains. I added a new photo album here and took a little short video of a Texas Longhorn and her calf. I wish we could have stayed longer.....
It's so awesome that your blog is 5 years old. Wow...time really can fly sometimes! I'm SO thankful that we met each other here on MyOpera. I love you lots and hope the kids, C, and you are all doing great! xoxo :hugs:
