I received an invite from a message board that I am apart of to join a weblog page by the name of MomsBuzz.com. For a moment I actually thought about joining, I mean why not add to the 4 that I already have and don't take care of?

On the account sign up page it ask
what you want the address to be...(normal)
weblog title....(normal)
weblog category...(normal) but the only thing that bothers me about this is it gives you a choice on what category that you want to use.

Choices,
1. Hobbies
2. Homeschooling
3. Just life
4. Pregnancy
5. Spiritual
6. Work at home

I suppose that is all mom's are interested in.

I've never understood why site administrators (or "webmasters" if you want to be politically correct) can not add a category entitled "Other."

I have run into this problem on quite a few sites. On one site I have, I can remove posts and replies made by group members for any one of the following categories...

Reason for topic removal?
(1) obscene, vulgar
(2) race, ethnicity, gender, or other discrimination
(3) harassing, stalking, defamatory
(4) threatening, harmful, unlawful
(5) harming to minors
(6) copyright, trademark, patent infringement
(7) advertising

I've removed quite a few posts or replies as "advertising" even though it doesn't even remotely apply. I no other choice!

In this case, at least they provided the category "Just Life" which covers pretty much everything that isn't within those other categories.

Of course, I won't have to face that decision because I don't think I meet even the minimum requirements for joining a group entitled MomsBuzz!

Lee, I have noticed this trend as well. Guess
I won't be joining then there is not 'mom who
can't wait for her kids to move out' category.
Just kidding of course.

Me too me too! Me too what? uh.. I dunno!

That is how I perceive the webmasters who want to make money from the ads and links that they put on the site, but don't really have a clue about the actual content of the site.

So, take care of the ones you have, and let the fake ones go.

I prefer Baily's Irish Cream! hahaha I put it in my coffee!

I like Kahlua in my cola! Just a dollop!

Jon, I also prefer The Irish Cream and Kahlua, they are creamy
and oh so yummy! Easier on the stomach.

I think I will stick to the blogs that I have already.
