My Try at Simplicity

, , ,

I found this 'poet' on another site and I truely admire his simple ways of poetry. It is almost like a child, but it is an adult, or maybe it is an adult with a child's mind. I don't know if this person is mentally disabled, or ill or what but I find his work so interesting. My only request is to know more about this person...maybe they are not able to express themselves unless it is simply....(this is my try below)

:right:In the backyard:left:

There was a skinny
dog in my backyard
he was lying on
my patio furniture
with his ribs
showing
in the sun...
I opened the
door and called
him but he
ran away.
The lady
next door called
the pound.
I think she is
the one
that poisioned
my cat.

OMG. That is so depressing! What happened to the poor dog? He sounds emaciated! And what about her poisioning your gato?!

I am so confused and so mortified all at once. You poor thing!

(Sorry, I'm a little sensitive when it comes to animals.)

I didn't mean it to be so bad. sad sorry!

I am over the cat dying, (not the grey one, for the ones that know me)
it happened 2 years ago, but the weird thing is, all the cats in the neighborhood just all started to get sick and die all over the place, it was really sick. Anyway...she is notorious for calling the pound on each and every stray animal that is around this neighborhhood...(but yet her's is fine to roam free) faint So now there is only one stray cat that we ever see and the lady told me that she is trying to catch her with some cage or something....she actually told me that the cat is 'too smart' and won't go in the cage. bigeyes GEEZ! Well, about the dog, I guess the pound might try to feed him and get him adopted for the simple fact that he was very docile and sweet. I love animals as well. sad poor puppy! I hope he is well taken care of.

Awww. I love that style. You are right, simplicity can be such an amazing way to communicate. Very cool. up

HI Sarah,

I don't get this one ?

Is it true or a story you wrote?

Meaganmeagannichole Friday, October 20, 2006 9:22:52 PM

I am so sorry to have sounded so mortified! I feel bad for making you feel bad!

That is so strange about the cats all getting sick. Cats are weird creatures though, I have had mine for a little over a week and they have already had worms and everything. I got them that way, and thankfully I know a little something about my furballs, so I could take care of them.

I never really liked cats. Actually, up until my boyfriend bought me my Harry and Sally I had never had one. (My Mom isn't such a fan.) I would be very depressed without my pets, they definitely make my life so much better.

About that woman...you should demand a letter of apology for her being so weird. And maybe so cruel. Strange woman.

Veronica,
I think you would like his poems. They are so cool, he talks about his life, animals, and has said some things about having an ex ...I guess wife or girlfriend. Sometimes simplicity is the most calming form of ...well of poetry. (in my opinion) here is a link http://blog.myspace.com/mikelkpoet

Fatimah,
yes, it happened today. But I am trying my attempt at simple poetry. the cat died about 2 years ago.

Meagan,
Don't be sorry! bigsmile You are so friendly, how lucky am I to have found a great friend, you and your mother are sooo talented. smile Yeah, some neighbors are weird. I am sure she thinks the same about me. lol

It´s like a Heiku poem smile It tells a lot, with a very few and simple words. A lot of art is about simplifying complex issues wink Sometimes it only requires a piece of paper to describe eternity!

It´s like they say: Less is more!

I like simple things covering mysteries. Don´t know why.

I liked your poem.
