Thanks all so much. I thought a new sticky post would be a good way to start off the new year..not that it is a New Year yet. I think the last sticky was over a year old. *whew did it stink!
My group of friends. I am feeling the love today... I love you guys....your all so special to me. I want to give everyone a virtual hug....All the ones above that have signed are new this year to me. There are a couple of older friends that still visit, such as Bojan,Lois,Marcus, David, Cheryl, Mickey Joe, Sandy and a few others that don't pop into my mind...there are those that visit on special occasions such as Sabrina, Joni and Dave.
It's weird that I remember all those names...I thought that I was bad at names...hehe.
Thanks Clint, Amir, Jose, Karen, Kim, L, and Carol. Waking up to you guys is so fun. No morning breath either!

Sure i actually dropped the class because it ia five hour class, plust i will be working eight hours a day. So for that short time period is i screw up three days, i will get a bad grade. So i will take my break easier, maybe actually go out with friends and actually meet new places were.
Thanks i will say holla, when i need help. Most likely i will be saying holla every two minutes, but yeah.
I did some pretty heavy cleaning yesterday...we bought a turkey for christmas and a ham for New Years day. Have you heard of the tradition of eating black-eyed peas for luck and cabbage for prosperity? We are having ham, black-eyed peas and coleslaw. DH can't stand cooked cabbage, but I love it....
Mmmmm turkey and ham. I love Christmas food. In Ireland some people will serve both for the Christmas dinner, if they're having a big crowd.
No I never heard of that tradition, how interesting.
I'm not a fan of cabbage either. When I was young it was cabbage rolls and Sauerkraut.
Now, in Ireland, you get boiled bacon and cabbage. By bacon, they mean a joint of pork, like an uncured ham. When the bacon is done, you boil the cabbage in the same water so it gets the flavour from the meat. Still don't care for cabbage though.
We always have turkey and ham for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I do the ham with dry mustard, brown sugar, gingerale, cloves and pineapple. If I didn't make the ham and sweet potatoes, I think my kids would disown me.
Mickey, The bacon and cabbage sound good! I love all kinds of greens and fresh veggies...I wish everyone in the family felt the same, lol. I am not a huge fan of Sauerkraut...tried it with sausage, but it is always so tart (or something like that).
Lois, The way you make the ham sounds sooo good! My mother is hosting Christmas Eve dinner this year, this is just about a 5 year tradition for her and my step father and of course, we all love it! Ham and sweet potatoes? I bet they are delicious. Maybe you will share pictures with us.
