One Flaw in Women

,

One Flaw In Women
Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have the compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
family and friends.
Women have vital things to say
and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Sarah, this poem says a lot. I enjoyed it very much! I would argue that if there is one flaw in Women, it is that they erroneously "bear" the flaws of men. They believe that they have SOME, if not MOST of man's flaws. (They are misled into believing this by men of course.) Additionally, that they must burden the consequences of ALL these flaws. Hmmm..Perhaps, Women know that they don't have these flaws, but assume them regardless, subsequently accepting the consequences. There is only one man who is believed to have been able to accomplish this, a feat that women do everyday, a feat certainly learned from his mother.

A Woman's Worth.....to stay behind, so all can move forward...to do things that seem inconsequential to the world and yet changes it for the better.... is her cross to bear...

In the end, my arguement is encompassed by yours. I being a man can not understand a woman or know the totality of her worth...not even the fullness of her worth to me. However, I have a mother and I have loved and I have friendship and all three are the foundation of my worth. So, I agree with you, because of some of things I see here and all over the world... women do forget their worth, but with a lot of help.

Sarah, did you write this?

very nice!

Ty all for stopping by. smile

Sigil-You are a very compassionate man towards this subject. Men have a lot of stress as well, and have a different mind than women on the ways that they deal with them. I think some men need more supporting women in their life, but I am not completely sure on this subject. I think it will be a choice of each individual and family. You mentioned 3 women in your life that you have. That is wonderful and I think it makes a man a better, more rounded person to have supportive women in his life.

Thanks again all.

And Bea-I should have specified that I got this as an email, author unknown. heart

oh, ok!

but is still nice! thanks for sharing! smile

Sigil, sounds like you need to learn your self worth as a man.

Actually, lets all stop the gender based compliments and concentrate on species based ones. You're all human. You live, you love, you hate, you learn, you die. Celebrate it.

Sigil Jenkinssigil.jenkins Thursday, May 17, 2007 4:06:46 AM

I know my worth as man, but thanks for the concern.

As for "species based compliments" hmmm, I can not think of one.

Dark FurieFurie Thursday, May 17, 2007 9:43:59 AM

And there lies the flaw with humanity. Look at the wonderful creativeness of your species. Sure, some git always uses it the wrong way, but still it's impressive. happy As for knowing your worth as a man, you just assumed that only one guy can empathise with women and that he learned it from his mother. Think carefully about those words. If you'd said it about a woman learning it from her father, you'd have been chased into the mountains by a flaming torch wielding mob. lol Sexism runs both ways. Also, most erroneous flaws of women are creations of other women these days. Back in the 50s when advertising was blasting them, maybe it could have been blamed on the money men. But these days it's magazines run by women for women that portray an unhealthy ideal.
