Ouch

My oldest daughter and I were playing around last night in the living room, taking pictures and having a typical silly Friday night. Usually, if we are not out running around somewhere we are all at home making a great meal and hanging about playing and watching 'Ghost Whisperer'..which by the way last night gave us a scare! We thought that Melinda died! Oh well...so yeah we were on the floor talking about school and life in general. My oldest had a knitting project on the floor that she is working on, (good for her learning to knit) and I moved somehow shoving the sharp end of the knitting needle into the heal of my foot.
It was wedged against the fireplace and the sharp end was facing out... When it first happened I just felt an enormous amount of pressure into the heal of my foot, not realizing what had happened, just knowing that it wasn't good. I grabbed my heal and looked at my daughter saying..."Uh, I think I hurt my foot." A little in shock still the pain begun building slowly and working up to a throbbing pain. I felt a warmness and realized it was blood seeping through my sock onto the palm of my hand and then the tears begun. (I think mostly out of being a little scared) I was afraid to look at the wound and so I called for my husband to look for me. In my own mind I was thinking the needle had impelled deep into my skin! I am still not sure how deep it went but it has been patched up with medicine and a bandage. It was so funny, my husband asked one of the kids for the first aid kit like I was on the verge of death, lol. He busted out the medicine and gauze and medical tape and begun to wrap my foot as if it was falling off. I said, "Please not too tight." lol!! It was late enough so I decided to call it an evening and hobbled to bed. I slept okay..but every time I woke up I could feel it throbbing. This morning the same..as long as I don't put any pressure on it or move it then it's alright for the most part. Oh well. Thought I would share that.

Feel better very soon.
Until that happened, it sounded like you and your family were having a really nice evening. Hope you have many, many more like that! (I mean, without the wounds.)

Yeah...it's got that worn, but not cruddy look. Kinda like Betty White. She's older than dirt, but somehow still manages to look really good for her age. How the Hell does she do that?!

I always enjoy your words, they are food to my soul. Opens my eyes to the fact that yes..mothers are so important; not all feel this way about mothers, but you are special to know that mother's are number 1. Blessed!

I have got a special applause from a mother(Freedom statue)...
Iam so nervous about your opinion on me ...
angel,
In India , women is the first in every family...
but some girls are misusing their freedom and wrongly understood.
George washington,Abraham lincon,Mahathmagandhi,Nelsonmandela,Mother Teresa ,Napolean,Alexander,...
are all ,beacause of A MOTHER ...
Mr.Gandhiji's 3promises,brought freedom to india...
peace,non-violence,humanity...his breaths...
But in india,
my friend angel,
the young female generation are not giving value and realising that, oneday they are going to become ....
MOTHER IS MOTHER...
A LUCKIEST SOUL ALONE WILL BE BORN AS FEMALE TO BECOME A MOTHER...
I PRAY...LONG LIVE MOTHER...
