Queen for a Day (and her sister the Princess)

I went today to the mall with my sister to shop for the twin's dresses for the Valentine's Dance. We found the perfect dresses on sale! It was amazing, 15 bucks a piece and we really didn't even know they were on sale originally! It was a total shocker....

Also we purchased two lovely pair of silver shoes and sweet necklaces to go with the dresses. I have hid them in the closet so that in the morning when they wake up, they will be surprised by the new threads. I think that they twins will feel so special tomorrow all dressed up like little princesses going to the ball. Too bad we can't rent a super cool car to take them in...am I going to far?

I am just so excited for my babies that are growing up so fast. Seems like yesterday they were just going to preschool with their little pink backpacks on and adorable pigtails bouncing. I sort of miss the days that I wasn't thinking about earrings, boys, clothes, money for the mall and all those things that are important to them now. My girls should grow up to be independent and strong and to not rely on their mommy...but then again...it's happening so fast.

I made a mistake in last post's announcement...she isn't the princess, she is the QUEEN.

She informed me yesterday that I was wrong in calling her princess...opps! Sorry Angel! I think her twin, Angela, will be her princess then! lol (although they are all queens in my eyes) I know that I gripe and complain about how they act, but overall they are amazing girls and have a wonderful future in front of them. I couldn't be more proud.

I know what you mean, though...our babies grow too flippin' fast.

'Til they start driving us nuts. Then they don't grow fast enough!

I had them try the dresses on this morning and they were objects of pure perfection in them. I am overflowing with happiness for them. I am wearing the heels now that I will wear tonight while stalking them at the dance, lol. I really just want to take pics of her getting crowned and then I will be outtie.

And you WILL see some pics. I love any girlie girlie situation ... I can't frikkin' wait! And I totally don't feel like I am living through them. I am not that kind of mother. I want to be the mother and let them have all the shining glory....so I will stick to all black as usual.

Anyway....I am friggin' proud of my babies.

Oh...poor Mariah is jealous.

She wrote you by the way you should be getting it soon. I really tried to reassure her that she would have plenty of days to shine as well...

@Karen, I totally agree. I sent you something as well...just a little card. I told M that she will have many MANY moments to have attention. She just sort of wants everything now now now.

@Hermitess..Thanks! The regular price on the dress was 50 ... so I was happy to get lucky with that. Supposedly they were 'last season' but I think they are still so cute.
