What'sthe meaning behind Ruby Tuesdays? and my choices are similar.. except.. i like 2pac, prefer long hair and I like butts p prefer dogs.. and refuse to comment on political stuff.. p

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Monday, December 10, 2007 1:29:14 AM

sherlock Humm good question. I am not really sure about that... I could have guessed you prefer dogs. After I lost Raz and JaNae to parvo, I swore off dogs. sad That just broke my heart.

Rippripp2002 Monday, December 10, 2007 4:55:29 AM

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 12:53:24 AM

LC, I'll come get her...how far are you? yey!
(I am in central Texas, no man's land)

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 12:54:21 AM

Cois, sherlock It is the restaurant...but I was thinking...the 'meaning' of it? I dunno!

H82typ Tuesday, December 11, 2007 2:25:03 AM

The guy that started it liked the Stones song. Did I scare you for real? I'm sorry.sad

Mad Scientist (عادل)qlue Tuesday, December 11, 2007 3:18:59 AM

Whats the meaning of ruby tuesday? As far as song lyrics are concerned, when in doubt, blame the drugs. More than ninety percent of songs written between 1950 and 1990 were about drugs so it's always a safe bet. (P.S: that's only my opinion and should not be taken as hard fact)

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 3:22:41 AM

Dennis, you never scared me! bigsmile

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 3:23:15 AM

Glue, Ok cool thanks for the info. bigsmile

H82typ Tuesday, December 11, 2007 5:56:14 AM

Drugs, and/or sex, how good/bad it will be, how good/bad it is, how good/bad it was,

H82typ Tuesday, December 11, 2007 5:58:16 AM

I've always liked my sex and drugs with a li'l' rock'n'roll. p

H82typ Tuesday, December 11, 2007 6:03:30 AM

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 11:29:11 AM

Well, isn't that special?

lol

H82typ Tuesday, December 11, 2007 11:55:58 AM

bigeyes I...I... I was talking about the music of the 50's and 60's!angel

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 12:00:25 PM

lol I know....I know. lol I can imagine you having a collection of those...uh what are they called...or records!

I actually loved records as a child...or are they called vinyls? Anyway,I would go through the huge boxes of music that my parents had. Ummm memories. smile

H82typ Tuesday, December 11, 2007 12:30:31 PM

Yeah. They're called record albums. Unless they're 45's - they're called singles. They have an "A" side and a "B" side. The A side was the "hit", the B just another cut off the album.
I had a bunch of 78's and 16's,too. The numbers refer to how fast the turntable rotated. Oh, and by the way, albums were also called LP's. They ran at 33 1/3 rpm. Asleep yet? p

Mad Scientist (عادل)qlue Tuesday, December 11, 2007 4:40:23 PM

The 45's were actually called 7singles or 7"singles. the " indicated inches. this was because they were seven inches in diameter. The 78's were made of a harder plastic that didn't scratch so easily but the down side is that they readily shattered like dinner plates at a traditional greek wedding. They were intended to be used with the older hand cranked gramophone machines that used a metal stylus that was needle sharp. On a related subject the first computer disks were 12 inches in diameter, they were rendered obsolete the 8&1/2 inch mini disk that held about 4 times the data which in it's turn was rendered obsolete by the single density 5&1/4 inch disk. There disks were called microdisks and nicknamed floppydisks. They were replaced by double density and later, high density disks of the same size only able to hold more data. The 3&1/2 inch stiffy disk them replaced the larger disk. the stiffy was called that because of it's hard plastic case. Was that too much trivia for this blog?

Rippripp2002 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 4:42:36 PM

im in Chicago, Im sure a texas girl can see where that is on the map whistle

devil

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 5:12:51 PM

Dennis, Great info. It seriously makes me want to go to a pawn shop and find some of those things....

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 5:16:26 PM

Glue,
When I was a child, I lived down the street from a radio station that left a bunch of those behind when they moved. My brothers and I had fun throwing them as far as we could off a cliff or letting them melt in the sun and shaping them into different shapes. We were easily amused. rolleyes

bigsmile

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 5:18:06 PM

LC, Yes, I know where Chi town is. Midwesterners rolleyes

Rippripp2002 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 5:19:04 PM

I am not from here, just moved here last year, fucking texans think they know everything. I lived in texas too, it sucked. devil

Mad Scientist (عادل)qlue Tuesday, December 11, 2007 5:23:32 PM

You may have to look a bit harder than that. Pawn shops haven't accepted vinyl for over fifteen years now. But If you are only looking for the music it's available on cd and in mp3 format. Try googleing 'golden oldies' .

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 5:25:56 PM

I like Texas, it was much better than NC. bigsmile Texas is not so bad is it?

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 5:26:37 PM

Hummmm....good point Glue. Ebay!

Mad Scientist (عادل)qlue Tuesday, December 11, 2007 6:03:12 PM

I played 'frisby' myself as a teenager. Genuine collectors will now pay thousands for as new condition vinyls. And if you have an original Elvis Presly that's still in the plastic you can start planning your retirement. This is also valid for Beatles albums

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 6:04:23 PM

I am sure there are some around in attics or basements..

Mad Scientist (عادل)qlue Tuesday, December 11, 2007 6:15:34 PM

Someone once paid several thousand US$ for a stake piece of mouldy bread that Elvis supposedly took a bite out of. I'm not that crazy. please shoot me and put me out of my misery If I ever become that obsessed with anything.

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 6:18:15 PM

Ewww I totally agree! a worthless piece of bread?? Anyone could have done that...

Rippripp2002 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 6:47:26 PM

Texas is a lot better then NC. I lived in Fayetteville for 4 years sad

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Wednesday, December 12, 2007 9:03:37 AM

bigeyes you have been all over the place! smile

Rippripp2002 Wednesday, December 12, 2007 3:28:52 PM

Not really all over the place whistle

devil

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Wednesday, December 12, 2007 5:31:46 PM

Maybe most of the US...

Rippripp2002 Wednesday, December 12, 2007 6:04:47 PM
