Will think of this later...

[/IMG]Well, this morning we finished the school shopping. I have to say, Wal-Mart had nothing in stock so we had to go to several different stores to find what we were looking for. *oh well. So, I found this cute notebook...feeling like "I want some school supplies too!" *whine" But anyway...I didn't feel that whiny about it..needless to say, I picked up this really cute notebook that I thought would be fun to write in for the new group that I joined.
David started Scrawl Forth and I have been dieing to add something to it, so I finally wrote "The Burning of a Memory" first in my brand spanking new notebook and then in forum. It was fun and didn't take long. I
writing. So yeah, my little new "boys are smelly" notebook came in handy for me!
Needless to say, I hope that you guys visit the group and read the other authors and enjoy their stories. It takes some time to scan over them, but well worth it, especially one of my favorites, "Rotten Luck", written by David aka Clean!
Well, on another note, we were getting back onto the interstate after shopping this morning and there was a car that seemed to be stuck between the on ramp and the highway..you know in that little V area..anyway, we looked into the car and saw a much older lady who looked confused as what to do. I told my husband to 'PULL OVER, PULL OVER!' to help her and he said, "Well, I don't want to hold up the line behind us or cause an accident." I totally understood that but wanted to help someone's grandmother, for God's sake! All I could think is, she is going to be killed if she veers in the wrong direction either way! So I kept reminding my husband that she could have been his mother or my mother and to please take the first exit and swoop back around to help her.
He did.

But by the time we got back to her someone had taken the 'boy scout' moment and helped her. She was not broken down like I thought, but I guess she just needed help getting onto the highway.
The other guy drove in front of her and slowly pulled out onto the highway with her following....Thank God she didn't get hurt.

I love buying new notebooks too. & Pens...pens are my favorite!
What is it about new pencil crayons, and school supplies that gets me wanting some too?
I even opened a box of Crayola crayons and sniffed them... Mmmmmmmmm!
I chased my hubby around with them saying, "Sniff these...really..you'll love it!" He was like..."Stay away from me you freak!"
I wish you and I could go shopping together..we would have a blast!
IT was super good of you to want to help that lady...
Good on your hubby to pull around!

It's awesome that you were going to help Granny. That totally sounds like something I would have done, too. Aren't we just the most precious little Girl Scout types ever?!

Thank you for giving Scrawl Forth a bit of a wrap (as well as the plug you gave my story).
The Burning of a Memory was a very powerful piece of writing! There were a lot of vivid descriptions in there that really jumped out at me; " ... the man I loved and the man I hated, both the same person ... ", and, " ... I saw a teddy melt and burn to a hard mass ... ", being prime examples!
You have multiple areas of creativity! Just on the subject of writing-oriented creativity, I couldn't write a poem if someone paid me, yet you regularly do not only that, but create really good stories, too (I particularly liked, Finding a Friend for Godfrey)!
You're also a good person, too (as your first instinct to help that elderly lady attests).
Good stuff!

Ok..so now I am looking for the guy with the long blond hair and muscles type of thing for the cover! ha! funny
So anyway...I am working on a longer story...I didn't come close to the number of words suggested...working working working.
Thanks for the linkage
