Security Problems Sorted - I think

So - I can't figure out how to fix the ASP.NET database issues I am having. And because I wanted to get on to the development side as soon as I could, I pretty much just gave up and tried to find a different way to ensure only people I know and want to log in to the servers can log in.
And - go me - I finally managed it.
The application no longer has any authorisation on it (except it will have some very basic username/password stuff - a single table in the database, but that is more to do with the user playing the game, rather than the user logged in to the server) however the IIS instance now has Windows Authorisation on it, meaning that you have to have a windows account on my computer and my network to use it.
Which should narrow down the number of people trying to play
In theory I can further expand that to include a list of IP addresses to connect from (my girlfriends, my parents, my office, that should be about it) but I will maybe go for that later if I can be bothered.
And - in a related note - I also have it selecting data from the database and updating/inserting/deleting it as well.
Which, for my purposes, is pretty much what I want
All in all - quite a good day.
