:)Who I am
I loved Opera at first sight. I started to use Opera immediately after being acquainted to it. How I discovered Opera? I made this simple research on the Internet: "browsers comparison". On that time I was sick and tired of not having the possibility of freely choose a better browser option. Opera was on its 6.0 version. Since then I never stopped to use Opera.I'm a meticulous individual who does everything carefully and with prior planning. I'm used to measure the results of my projects and actions. I respect people, knowing to hear their points of view and presenting them mine clearly. I believe in sharing experiences in the honestest manner possible. That's why I'm respected by everyone in the circles of relationship to which I belong, whether inside or outside the virtual world (Internet).
I have a strong presence on many kinds of social media channels – the main social networks and / or Internet tools.
I have free circulation in the academic world, whether among students or teachers.
I'm a native Brazilian with all the passion for life that Brazilians have to offer to the world. I was born and live in the reference Brazilian city: Rio de Janeiro, which will be the host of the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics. Let's leverage these opportunities to improve Opera's image!
As a student of classical languages (Latin, Greek) during many years I had the opportunity to learn linguistics and semiotics. I consider that these sciences are of great help for marketing. I consider that these two fields of knowledge are very powerful tools in order to analyze what people really want to say when they express themselves and make their choices, aiming to identify which trends will likely become reality based on human communication and behavior.
I speak Spanish so well that when I lived in Chile and Argentina, local people did not notice that I was a Brazilian. Their first impression generally was that I were a Peruvian or Ecuadorian. Hence, I consider myself a Latin American face. I modestly think I have reached a very nice English language level for a person that never lived in an English speaking country. I`m in constant search of improvement of my language skills in order to achieve the best results in the communication process.
I'm already doing my best to spread Opera throughout my friends in Brazil and around the world. It would be marvelous to be trained for doing it even better, if I would be so lucky to be chosen to work with Opera ASA staff. Indeed, for many years I have been wondering why Opera ASA did not have official representation in Brazil and South America. The growth of the number of Internet users in Latin American countries is sustained and the market is huge. People should be institutionally acquainted to the best browser: Opera. Let's improve Opera market share!

A few reflections regarding social media
Considering the speed of change in contemporary society, people need faster and reliable tools for better communicate and share information and knowledge. The collection of tools offered on Internet by enterprises, and used by people to do such interchange, has been known from the last two decades as “social media”. We could categorize generically the contents shared as `the data`; and the individuals as `the agents` of social media. The agents are free to bend, compress or stretch the data to fit their best individual or mutual interests.
Social media is a powerful environment formed by many kinds of on-line media operated by people and social groups aiming the best interaction possible among themselves. The kind of tools possible to create aimed at social media is huge. Among others, we can cite: blog platforms, social networks (MyOpera, Myspace, orkut, facebook etc.), platforms for sharing content, like: video channels (Vimeo, YouTube); picture sharing portals (Picasaweb, Flickr, Photobucket etc.), bookmarking and recommending sites (digg, StumbleUpon, reddit etc.), platforms for collaborative reading (Scribd, DocStoc) and writing (Google Docs, Zoho), forums powered by all kinds of subjects, a constellation of many kinds of widgets and applications, tools for classify, gather and deliver information automatically on demand (e.g. RSS, trackback links)... A Bible could be written about social media applications, platforms, interactions, and their impact on present and future human relations. I think we must understand that the speed of change itself along with digital technological development and peoples' needs of direct, quick communication, decision making and reliable information where the key factors that made possible to create this social media galaxy, which is in constant growth.
In social media the exchange of data is a double path; content submitted by people generates reactions from other people, who evaluate, make comments, give answers or manifest interest in knowing further, which generates feedback after feedback, helping to build a web of information and knowledge. This novel way of communication has improved the quality and the results of the interactions among people and, much more important than that, has forced a new approach towards the "consumer" by the companies. People, that sometimes in the beginnings of Internet interaction had been considered "sheeples" by the marketers, have gained a little more respect thanks to the contemporary way of usage of social media tools. The modern intervention in social media made by enterprises now requires a lot of hearing what people have to opine. The brainwash process do not work anymore.Nowadays, the main environment for detecting social behavior trends is the live social media on the Internet, the word of mouth. In a very near past that kind of strengthening of relationships and collaboration among people could hardly be foreseen, due to the fact that traditional kinds of media, like newspapers, radio and television have been controlled for decades by a few companies; the path of information was up to down: media gave the information and people consumed it. That was the “old era”. Confirming or questioning the information in the old era was practically impossible. Any voice that disagreed from the points of view of ancient media had not enough strength for being heard and influence back the society's opinion. That situation seemed to be doomed to send us all to a real
“1984” or even to a “Matrix”
. Dark, stormy clouds were threatening human direct communication in the society of the masses; to talk about a future psychological variant of "Skynet"
would not be an exageration. Maybe the situation started to change with the advent of information exchange by a simple tool called email. For the first time people had the possibility of reaching instantly and simultaneously one hundred people from their interest group or their friends to communicate, share opinions and get conclusions together. People started to socialize on the Internet. Afterwards the Web 2.0 (where the user defines and loads his/her own content) arose, facilitating that marvelous explosion of communication that we all aware of. The "war" of browsers: an unfair competition
I believe that so far Opera did not reach the position (market share) it deserves among Internet users due to guided monopolist activities carried out by huge companies with aggressive (and sometimes disloyal) tactics. We can detect prejudice even in the way media addresses the question of competition between browsers – see this interview to Opera CEO by Forbes in 2006. In fact, as Opera neither is generated from the "wombs" of brand new computers directly to the hands of the end user, like IE, nor is nourished by a gigantic virtual machine, like Chrome, the competition with dominant browsers only reflects issues not related with the Browser's quality. Something must be done to change that unfair situation. There are many possibilities of action to overcome these difficulties, however, they must be developed carefully, taking into account a scientific set of data gathered by means of surveys. A concrete fact that no one can deny is that Opera browser has already reached and surpassed 120-130 million users worldwide and Opera Mini is the marketing leader between phone browsers, winning prize after prize as best Internet application for mobile phones. Why Opera Software has the best tools for socializing
I know that in practice Opera is the best browser ever made and that it is in constant improvement. It's enough to see its fast paced change log. The fact that other browsers usually imitate Opera features once they are released proves that Opera is in the vanguard.
I could give you a million reasons why Opera products family is the best, but I decided to remark some I think that represent its excellence, mainly the ones related to Opera browser.
With the advent of Opera Unite, Opera brings us the possibility to overcome the dictatorship of the servers and exchange content directly with our best friends, without intermediation. I loved that black and white video describing Unite but unfortunately did not find it to add to this post. So I added this one here below.

With the advent of Opera Link we can synchronize our bookmarks, notes and personal bars to keep them always at hand, whatever be the computer we use and in any web browser. Opera Linkis a must have of our times.
Opera Turbo boosts marvelously the navigation experience of users that do not have access to broadband connections. In Latin America broadband connections are not widely spread so far; so Opera Turbo helps to remedy the situation assuring a navigation up to 4 times faster in dia-up connections.
Speed Dial, an original Opera team brilliant idea, allows you to store in every Opera new tab up to 25 little windows showing preloaded visualizations of your favorite Web sites, saving your precious time and patience.Speed Dial.

¹ For instance: Safari resides in Apple's OS X Mac machines and Firefox is a "wanderer". However, the difference between the market share of these two browsers do not necessarily match their conditions of origin in relation to hardware. It would be an interesting topic for investigation.

Since then, we've been interacting and, now and then, getting together enough in many different circumstances, for I can say that I'm entirely convinced that, not only he is a loyal & highly esteemed friend but also he's a guy seriously committed to the (always noble) causes he believes, highlighting the humanitarian ones and, lately (or I'd say 'last but not least'), this goal regarding to the right of 'freedom of choice' that has to do with the mentioned unfair 'war of browsers'.
I admit that I'm far to be even an apprentice concerning this subject (although I've been an autodidact in many things), especially when it has to do with the technical aspects. Notwithstanding, for that matter indeed, Angelo's advices never disappointed me. On the very contrary, his directions always served as a reliable guide when it refers to this area and similar ones. Thus I can attest by personal experience that his competence is above any further demonstration.
To sum up what I said above, my slogan is: "Polveroso for President"... err... sorry! Eheh... Let me say it again: "Polveroso for Brazilian Opera Marketing Trainee!"
Thumbs up from both hands! Good luck my friend! You deserve it!

Totally unprofessional. Text should be aligned/justified. Overuse of colors and different font sizes. Smilies are not professional either. Same goes for blinking animations, which are annoying. Opera has in-line spell checker for a reason as well. All that I'm missing is some Comic Sans.
Good luck, but I wouldn't like to see Opera represented with this kind of articles.
