decent days and nights

glorified screen savers

i got my hair cut yesterday. it was pretty fun and now it is short with bangs and my friend says i look trendy, but i'm not sure how just a haircut can change an otherwise untrendy person to be as such.

umm. it is almost time to go to ohio. i'm trying not to think about it and obviously i have more than enough other things to fill my mind. i signed my contract for my new place (it is so awesome. if size is any indication, it has TWO living rooms. and i have my own bedroom all for myself ( : which i'm superhappy about) and i'm starting to pack plus study for finals and all that other jazz. the car sitch is looking good, insurance is a go, and it should be ready for me when i get to ohio in eleven days.

omg. eleven days? is that really all that there is left?

i'm freaking out just a little bit right now.

well i need to go work on this ten page paper about the humanities of asia. it is the most ridiculous class i have ever taken. it is a GE (general education -- read: required) class and yet i am required to learn the entire history of all the countries in asia FROM THE BEGINNING OF TIME including all the arts, paintings, sculptures, architecture, music, theatre, religion, and various other things. pretty overwhelming, since history has been happening for a VERY long time. but after this paper and one more short test, i will be done. yayyy.

i saw a laser light show in salt lake yesterday. it was $6 (i didn't pay though...duh. it was a date) and it was featuring music from u2. it was basically a 40 minute long glorified screen saver with u2 music in the background / really loud the whole time. but it was in the planetarium so we ate space food after and that was cool. granted, the screen savers i have for my computer are really cool (usually either a fish tank or a view of the earth from an orbiting astronaut) so maybe in comparison it wasn't that cool. also my screen savers are free. and i can watch them when ever i want. i don't know what i'm trying to say here, but maybe it is that we pay money for things and expect something awesome (lasers! strobes! fog! flashing lights! music from a subpar old band!) when really it's crappy and we should have just stayed home and been content with what we have.

also it is finally nice out here. the weather's been bouncing back and forth between 60 and 40 and i think now it's going to stay in the 60-70 range for a while. that is my prediction, and judging by how much i know about weather (basically the ten day forecast) i think we should be pretty good to go. i hope it rains soon.

in closing, my life is boring and i'm sorry if you read my blog.

(11 days til the boy)

wrapping it up.beware.
