Captured moments

This Sunday my colleagues organised a cricket game in Frognerparken. Very funny game and I was not too bad at it.

Three events: Wrocław office opening, Press conference with Onet.pl and Opera Backstage Warszawa

Summer and autumn in Oslo can be very beautiful if you have somebody to explore it with. I had my parents, my love, my grandma and my friend here with me and it was very nice to go for a walk, pick raspberries, blueberries, mashrooms and go sightseeing with them.

On my birthday normally I would throw a party or at least a small gathering for my friends but this time I celebrated it with 134 people on the AIESEC conference in Bergen:) Started at the train ride and continued through the next day to the official dinner where all the people were singing for me "Happy Birthday". Very nice! It was the best AIESEC conference I have been to. Pleasant and open members, many trainees, loads of fun on the P-party, where I was a painter. Met a lot of nice people and had a great time.

Here are the photos from the trip to Lofoten I made with my parents. We left Oslo on 2nd July and arrived on Vesteraalen on the third day of our journey. On the forth day we reached Lofoten and enjoyed what they have to offer for the next 6 days. We were lucky! We had the best weather one can have there! 19 degrees Celsius and sun shining! We were hiking, sunbathing, fishing, sightseeing and admiring the landscape. It was more then beautiful! I regret it is sooo far North. It is a must to see in Norway!

Sunday I spent with Aiesec on Hovedøya (main island) one of the island in Oslo Fjord. On the island there is an old closter. We bathed, grilled and chatted until the weather changed and cold wind came. From the island you can have a beautiful view on the other islands.

Eurovision is a nice event to watch among many foreigners. That is why I invited friends over to my place and we watched the Finnish monsters togehter:) I preferred however the Croatioan Severina or Russian Dima Belan.

Thursday the 25th is a free day in Norway (Ascension Day). Therefore night before Gautam gave a nice party with Indian food. That was hot and spicy! We had a lot of fun. Especially me trying out the Norwegian students' special clothing - Russedress. Thank you for the party, Gautam!

17th is the most important fest in Norway. This a national day of constitution. That is why we got free day off work and we went to see the parade. Weather was not very pleasant but it did not disturb anybody. Even the Polish Maritime Academy's sailing ship "Dar Mlodziezy" came from Poland. On board we met our Polish peers and spent some time talking about Poland, Norway and sailing. Exhausting but beautiful day. Even if without the sun.

On Sunday sun was shining even stronger so me, Marta and Markus went for a bike trip to Nesodden. We took a ferry from Aker Brygge to Nesodden which is another peninsula and then we cycled up along the coast to Fjellestrand. Then we crossed the peninsula to the other coast and cycled down along the other coast back to the ferry. I enjoy Norway very much. Especially when we sit on the bank of the fjord, sun is shining, yachts and boats are sailing. Life is beautiful! and Norway as well

Last weekend was really beautiful - summer came to town:) So we decided to go to Bygdoy which is a peninsula in Oslo and arrange a picnic there. We bought small grill, sausages, meat, bread and wine. We had also Pavel with guitar. Bygdoy is a really beautiful place to hang around, go swimming and get a sun tan. Huk on Bygdoy seems to be one of the best beaches in Oslo. I hope I will be able to assess it myself:)

Here are some remindings of the winter skiing season that I officialy closed this year. I learned how to do cross-country skiing. I really started to like it especially when there is good weather, sun, -5 Celsius and fairly fresh snow. Around Oslo there are great places and resorts to go both downhill and cross-country skiing. This year I also was a downhill skiing teacher. I tought Marta - my Polish friend from Oslo how to use two wooden boards to slide on the snow and she got really good at it. I myself have practised skiing since I was 3. I hated it when I was younger. (Not that I am old or sth;) I cried, could not keep the balance on the traditional ski-lift. But now I really appreciate that my parents took me to the mountains when I was small. Especially on carving skis it is not that difficult. And when you have skied on the old straight skis, carving seems to be too easy OK, I go to put the equipment in the closet...

One colleague of ours brought Enigma cipher machine to work. He found it after his grandfather died. He does not know where his grandfather had it from, probably found in the Second World War. Anyway the history of this machine involves also Polish scientists and mathematicians. They contributed to breaking the Enigma encryption alogorythm.

Last night (24th March) after Friday beer some Opera friends came to my place and we aete waffels, played cards and Settlers from Cahtan and had lots of fun:))

AIESEC conference in Trondheim was a great ocasion to visit this beautiful city.
