norway, culture, manners
Recently I have been thinking about Norwegian culture or should I better say - lack of it. I have been living in the four bedroom flat for 8 months now and have experienced odd things.
First of all, my landlord thinks that he can come to my flat whenever he feels like. For instance when I am not there, or he calls me with 10 minutes notice. Also he is doing a visning showing the flat at the time that does not allow me to meet the candidates.
Then, a friend of his moves in and suddenly disappears one day taking all his stuff without even saying "Good bye". And then he asks me to call him every time he gets mail.
Moreover, a girl moves in, goes out on Sunday, gets drunk like hell, comes back shouting at 3 am, prepares food while everything falls out of her hands. And then at 8 am she knocks on my door, wakes me up and asks me if she can use my cellphone because she lost hers last night and now needs to get her boyfriend find it for her.
Now I know for sure. I have to find another flat!

norway, opera, blog, me
This is my blog, new and first at the same time!
I came to Norway in the middle of September and I decided to summarize my adventures and experiences which I will have here. I will be also hunting for some funny culture differences between Norway and other countries, post notes and add pictures. I will write mostly in Polish but from time to time English post will appear.
Enjoy!

opera, first day, norway
The day started dramatically - I overslept!!!
Good that Jeanette from Aiesec was about to take me to work first time and she woke me up calling me. Uffff! What a relief that we arranged to meet earlier. After I put my clothes and make up I couldn't find my keys. But they were all the time lying on the bed:) Crazy beginning of the day. But this is a sign of luck, isn't it?
The rest of the day was really great. i found that the canteen is only 200 NOK a month which is really cheap if we take norwegian prices under consideration:) And the food is delicious, lots of salads to choose, dinner, coffee, tee and other drinks for free:) Typical polish thinking, you may say, but I didn't believe untill I came here. Yesterday I bought monthly ticket for buses etc. for 700 NOK which is 350 zlotys and 175 Euros!!!!!!! Shocking for me
And now I am waiting for a guy that teaches Norwegian here at the company. It sounds I will have some problems in joining the group - is full and already started one month ago. I will try to convince him that I can learn fast and catch up on them.
That's all for today!
I hope I will be that diligent to write every day or maybe every two days when I am lazy:)
