FIRE BUG 这可不是firefox的插件啊，这是George Barris在70年代中期设计的消防车。
Built in the mid 70’s, designed by George Barris built by Dick Dean the Fire Bug went through a variety of skillful and imaginative customizing work. The front cowl was chopped down and a V windshield was installed, flanked by dual spotlights. The grille moved forward 4 inches utilizes a Continental radiator with one inch grille bars. An original Mack Truck bull emblem with two American Flags behind it sits atop the grille. After cutting down the front bumper and adding vertical bumper guards, the word “Mack” from Mack Truck was stamped in the center.

"MOONSCOPE" 月球登陆车最初原型设计
The first functional exhibited moon vehicle was engineered and constructed by Barris Kustom. After many hours of research and development, George Barris designed and built his first concept of an all terrain moon mobile unit. The Moonscope is a moon crawler that will enable astronauts to maneuver around the moon surface.
"VOXMOBILE" VOX吉他跑车

This vehicle was designed and built exclusively for Mr. Calvin Clark of Palos Verdes, Calif., publisher of International Surfing magazine and contractor, for $22,000 in the 60's. The car was designed for street use plus exhibitions throughout the nation.

Made for Redd Foxx star of "Sanford & Son." This all hand built body is made of metal and sculptured with the tilt styled front cab tinted sky top window and all. The oval tunneled grille shell housed quad rectangular English headlights and a chrome mesh inserts. The midship engine and design is powered by a Super charged 392 cubic inch Chrysler and all chrome plated.
"HARD HAT HAULER" HARD HAT牵引车
The hot rod enthusiasts version of a vehicle for the famous Hard Hat workers of America, created by Model Products Corporation in hobby kit form. This unique hot rod concept was immediately brought to life size by Mr. Bob Larivee of Promotions Incorporated and Hollywood auto stylist Mr. George Barris of Barris Kustom Industries. Designed by Harry Bradly, this 1/25th scale model kit was first engineered and then duplicated in replica to a full size operable car. The image of the American Hard Hat worker was incorporated in its concept. Race Car Specialties of Tarzana, California were commissioned to perform the machine work and construction of the chassis and torsion bar suspension. Carrera coiled 50/50 shocks were used on the rear frame center mount, and dual air shocks were installed on the front end.

That fire bug is really cool... Knowing that George Barris built and Dick Dean built in in 70's... Though I think It would look more innovative if they put some truck bull bar ... They could even call it a Fire bull big... LOL... Great blog too.. Now I know that since 70's girls are used to market cars... Thanks...
