一位42岁名叫Carolyn的英国女警员从小就喜欢在1968年上映的科幻影片"Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"(飞天万能车)这部影片，据说她曾反复地看过数百次，甚至还有一个飞天万能车的午餐盒。
如此的深爱此车也感动了她41岁在马莎百货(Marks & Spencer)公司作主管的丈夫Nick,并用4年的时间给她打造改装了一辆"飞天万能车"的模型。
这是从2003年Nick花£100买来一辆Land Rover报废的陆虎汽车(LandRover是欧洲著名的越野车品牌)拆去车身外壳用其中的底盘和发动机，根据搜集的图片和其它的老式汽车零配件费尽了汗水与泪水终于给妻子打造出她心中的愿望。
夫妻俩人并且请了长假，准备驾驶这辆“飞天万能车”模型去作一次行程12,000 miles先到澳大利亚后途经印度的长途旅行，途中她们还会用这辆车为The Earl Mountbatten Hospice(专门照顾残疾人生活的医疗中心)和WWF （世界野生动物基金会）进行慈善募捐。
