I am interested! Just finished reading it. wink

I see you researched Tolkien and Lewis's relationship with each other. wink Very interesting, no? Allen was telling me that one of his professors in college mentioned that when Lewis wrote the Chronicals of Narnia, Tolkien (good friend, and fellow writer) thought the allegory was too obvious... which explains his writing of the LOTR.

Another intriguing thing mentioned was the influence Tolkien had on Lewis in believing in God/Christianity. That very pleasingly surprised me.

Today I went to the library and came home with three books about/by Lewis, along with a book of sonnets by Shakespeare... so I'm looking forward to doing some reading this weekend. I've never read much of Shakespeare, though, so it will be a new experience.

If you are looking for a good Shakespeare, I must recommend "The Taming of the Shrew," it is one of my favorites. smile

I am not so sure that I researched Tolkien all that much, but I did remember a few things that people have told me over the years and that I have read. wink I do think I prefer Tolkien's more hidden philosophy rather than Lewis' out and out style. smile What books are you reading about Lewis? How are you liking them so far?

Right now I am reading "The Screwtape Letters" and it has been thoroughly enlightening. If I could only go around every day with such a well rounded perspective of the spiritual world in my mind, I think it would benefit me greatly.

Another Lewis book I borrowed is called "The Quotable Lewis", and it is basically an encyclopedia of all of his published works. I haven't looked into it much yet, but it looks rather cool.

And finally, I also have "The Riddle of Joy" which is by C.S. Lewis and G.K. Chesterton, but I have yet to peep into it's covers, either. =)

Hmm, I have read a small amount of the Screwtape Letters, I think, but those others sound really great too. smile Lewis really was a genius with his writing. Capable of such a wide variety of works, it's really amazing.
