i am fiera, from Malaysia..
i have donloaded that Compass 4.1 for J2ME from this website http://www.qcontinuum.org/compass/
i have installed the software into my mobile phone (sony ericson k750i with jave enabled)
i don't how this mobile compass is work in my handphone?
why it can't move to show the direction?
is it just show the graphic image of the compass?
or we need extra devices to make it work? GPS? or using GPRS?
how it can indicate our location?

Just open the application (compass)
and you have to see the sun's position then match it with yours phone's display.
compass is outdoor use only.

u mean this compass will not move/rotate?static?
we need to see the real sun at the sky, then match with our sun icon image?

oh first you have to set your location in phone's map.
go to menu>setting location.
it's static, you have to rotate your phone match with the sun.

if i not mistaken, we need to set the location from the map given rite?
so hard because it is too small image of map..
is there any altenatives that we can use instead of setting our location from the map given?
-can we use longitude or latitude of our place?
sorry if my question disturb u, i dun know who to refer 2

to be honest i dun know about longitude-latitude
my simple tips using compass:
check out info>time
if you're sure the top of the phone indicate true north at 6 am - 12 am the sun's position is in your right side, at 12 pm - 6 pm the sun's position is in your left side.
