Blender 2.49a and Yo Frankie for Ubuntu Linux

, , , , ,

A while ago the open source 3d suite Blender 2.49a and the Blender based game Yo Frankie! 1.1b where released, now you can grab Ubuntu Deb packages of them at GetDeb.net.

BTW: At the Siggraph 2009, the world biggest event about 3D, a Blender 2.5 preview was presented by the Blender Foundation. A preview of Blender 2.5 is available online too.

Hello!

I tried the new blender x3d exporter for 2.49, it worked very well, except that it is still impossible to export uv mapped objects affected by lightning.

It worked with Blender 2.46 and exporter 1.20, but the newer versions can only export uv mapping if there is not a material assigned. But I want this material assigned so that the texture is affected by the lightning.

If there is a material assigned and I set the correct settings of the material and the image, it will not work :(. My settings are correct, because it worked with 1.20

Can you please fix this bug?

I'm working on this project:
