I've downloaded the deb file from Getdeb.net and it requires removal of 42 packages including kdenlive, lives, libxine-ffmpeg, etc. I am using Karmic 9.10. Does anyone else this problem?

And I've found another deb package in Blender.org and it requires no package removal. It is installed without problems in Karmic 9.10. You can find the package link on http://www.blender.org/download/get-blender/ under the Linux section.
