GIMP 2.8 going for a single Window Solution

, , , , , , , , ,

There is a lot of discussion this time about a real single-window GIMP at the development list. Peter Sikking which is one of the heads behind GUI improvements of GIMP created a nice proposal which includes anything i dreamed of! Real good work Peter!

Yeah, I'm one of the nuts who prefers multiple windows. But I'll be happy with any interface changes that keep GIMP moving forward and being actively developed. The changes I'm waiting for (mostly color depth) are far down on the priority list.

The good news is that both interfaces single window and as it is are available. I'm not a photographer so i'm not really interested in full color depth support. But sure 32bit color depth and CMYK support would be great!
