I'm a little bit late with it: Hugin 0.8 is out - yeah! Hugin is great open source tool for stitching panorama pictures! Hugin goes on at the way they entered with 0.7:
* Fast Preview window
* Celeste sky identification
* New panorama projections
* Control point generators
* Batch Processor
...and the typical languages updates and smaller improvements.

All details are listed at the release notes of this release. Here is the proof that Hugin can create much more then boring 360° views.
