One of the oldest projects where i'm part of it (and in this case i'm founder of it too) is: Webcuts - Internet Film Fest Berlin. Now the call of submission started and everybody is invoked to submit his movie (don't forget to read the rules).
Of course the Webcuts project is looking for sponsors too
This time i started to design the flyer and website using Inkscape. For the prepress PDF of the flyer and web graphics export i used GIMP.

The website of the SVG Open 2009 is online now. This year the SVG Open take place from 2nd.-4th. October in Mountain View (USA). They started a call for participation too.

The Libre Graphics Meeting (LGM) May 2009 is set to happen in Montréal, Québec, Canada (like the 2007 meeting, it will take place at L'École Polytechnique). Dam this is far away. This year i planed to travel to LGM 2008 in Warsaw (Poland) but i missed it

On Friday i will travel to Göttingen to be there at the Ubucon. I will give a talk about the creative business and being an Ubuntu user in front of the Mac and Windows world. If you like we can meet us there

3 months ago i visited the Art Directors Club exhibition here in Berlin, today i did a trip to the UdK Open House 2008. A lot of creative and fancy stuff to explore made by students. This give me the chance to visited Stefan's work we discussed quite often.
Actually i planed to visit the exhibition of the best 100 german posters, but again i missed it again (check out the winners of the last year)

Today i was the first day at the IICO 2008 presented by Infopark. Bernd Völker gives an interesting opening about the future of the web and the need of ideas and fantasy to create something amazing. This was followed by a more unintresting keynote of the CeBit Messe AG.
A quite interesting talk about podcast and how corporate podcasts can be successful at the web was given by BASF. This was followed by a good one about analyzing the web (yes, that's the next step after analyzing the own website) and what the web is talking about you and your company. There were a lot of talks and i can't listen to all of them.
By the way at area42 we developed the print design of the IICO 2008, the header graphic is made using Blender.

Since a week the Blender F1 2008 contest is over and voting phase started. So you have now 3 days up to the deadline pushing your favorite to the first row.

Today i was at the Art Directors Club (ADC) exhibition here in Berlin - it was amazing.


A real huge collection of the best german campaigns, posters, illustrations, videos, newspapers, ads... from 2007.
Besides that there is a congress, a conference, an award show and a festival too. All together to much for one brain
