1 1/2 monther after the art/ sketch/ illustration app
MyPaint 0.7 hit the streets, the team published a bugfix release now.
MyPaint is a quite fast and easy to use (you have to learn the key shortcuts) and offers a lot of brush controls. As an example
David Revoy who is the concept artist for “
Project Durian” (a Blender Open Movie) uses MyPaint to create stunning and beautiful images.

Charlie pointed me to the art/ sketch/ illustration program
MyPaint (Thanks!), which looks indeed promising. It is quite fast and easy to use (you have to learn the key shortcuts) and offers a lot of brush controls. Version 0.6 shipped now with layers and popup color selector.

Too bad he didn't have a daily comic so i can't get it on my desktop like i did for
