If I would never find Gimp and Blender for windows I would never be interested in Linux and never using it for 99% time.

that's how I am--Linux at home, Windows at work. The more cross-platform stuff I can find to use both places (gimp, inkscape, scribus) the better.

80% Ubuntu, 20% XP. I boot XP in Virtualbox so that I can run Illustrator CS3. Inkscape just isn't there yet for pre-press
