Since my post "Pixel 1.0 final next year" and "Pixel 1.0: Release soon or Vaporware again?" a lot of time goes by without a final release of the image editor Pixel. Now Pawel Kanzelsberger wrote "...Pixel Studio Pro is still not ready for market release (and we’re working hard to prepare it for the market)".Besides that he released a maintenance release of Beta 0.8 that includes a Linux version too.

I doubt that there will be ever a real release and I really don't want to imagine the real background of this sad situation.

In May 2008 I bought a license, asked back several times by email but never received a license key. I haven't got any reply and the forum has been closed 'cause other people complained about similar problems.
It's vaporware and, sadly said, the author is even not trustworthy.
