We have a lot of fun using the Python plugin API and adding functionalities we like to get in gedit. Combined with existing plugins and RabbitVCS you get a very powerfull swiss knife

once i opened the "External Tools Plugin Command Collection" for gedit to collect useful addons: http://live.gnome.org/Gedit/ExternalToolsPluginCommands
It was a great success, many people added a lot of external tolls commands too.
Today i opened the "Code Snippets Collection for the Snippets Plugin" which will bring additional and improved code snippets to gedit:
