Fox man and the hairy encounter.

Waking up with heart burn is never a good thing, especially not at 4am in the morning. Nevertheless that's just what happened to me just today, but what preceded my getting up and downing half a litre of milk (always cures heartburn like a treat) was a little more out of the ordinary..
Of course it was a dream so here we go (I'm going to ignore the comedian Jo Brand who says that people who talk about their dreams are the most boring people).
I was leaving a restaurant, and walking by night along a quiet road. A cat came bounding past so quickly that I didn't really think much of it until something else came around the nearing corner and past me so quickly that I turned around. What was chasing the cat? It stopped, turned and looked at me. It was a large man with the head and paws of a fox. I remember running from the half man half beast for some time until I found myself back at the restaurant. What happened next really confused me. I started to fight the beast-man in the sort of kung-fu style seen only in slow motion action scenes. I was also winning the fight, blocking the beast's punches, kicks and teeth. Next, I even had a weapon. Sort of a stick, and started to use that with hitherto unknown expertise.
Next, I woke up with heartburn.. and whilst building up the will to leave bed and go to the kitchen, I recalled the dream I just had.
I would like to state for the record that I do not have any skill in kung-fu fighting, nor have I ever trained in using a stick or similar implement as a weapon. As dreams go, it was a pretty amusing one.
