Hit the lights..

In the next week or so i'm going to be really busy working on a new site i'm putting up. It's going to be tough one, cause I really want this site to hit the ground running when it comes to first class content. The main thing holding up the project at the moment is my Photoshop skills.
Until now I've been very pleased with the results I've been getting from what I already know. But at this point it looks like i'm going to have to get down and dirty and stump up some time to go through some of the books to pick up a few more skills.
The other aspect to this site is the forum which will run alongside it. That's a mighty beast in itself for one so young in web design as myself. The other aspect, the content: apart from sitting down with some books on Photoshop i'm going to have to write all the content up and then apply the markup in the pages. That reminds me, a whole rethink on the site navigation is needed along with consideration for accessibility and SEO. Phew.. not a lot to do then.
All this alongside 9-5 work, the washing, the dishes, feeding my imaginary cat.. you know, the same old stuff.
I should also mention the fact that this will be my first public site, in that it's not just some stuff about me (personal webpages suck, but they're good to start you off in HTML and CSS).
Now it's all a tall order, but i'm very positive about the outcome.
Hey we all got to start somewhere right?
Oh and that reminds me, I have to find a decent hosting co that supports SMF, get an account and domain, set up the SMF (probably manually) and go about tweaking a decent theme that will link in to the main sites design.
