Canadian Idol Vs American Idol- Simon Cowell vs. Zack Werner!

Canadian Idol Vs American Idol- Simon Cowell vs. Zack Werner!

This year Canadian Idol seems to have a good talented mix of hopefuls. In contrast to other Canadian Idol years, I would venture to assert that this will not only be a good season but most likely the best season in Canadian Idol history! Normally, Canadian Idol has proven to be a real snooze fest in talent, song choices and themes. This season can be a top rate show, that is of course, if the judges pick the semi finalists correctly.

Speaking of judges, did you see that rat faced Zack Werner on tonight’s show? I have to ask who does this idiot think he is? I was overwhelmingly appalled when I saw him put his hands on these kids shoving them all over the stage. While these kids want a to make it in entertainment, they need to know, they DO NOT! have to put up with someone doing to them what Zack demonstrated tonight! I love to hate Simon, but at least with Simon, he has wittiness and you may want to say piss off Simon, at times, but not to the capacity that you want to jump through the television screen and punch Zack out. Seriously, this guy is a nutcase! Where did they get him from?

Reading Zack’s impressive bio does very little for the viewer watching him in action. My own personal opinion of Zack Werner is that he is a rat faced, intolerable, narcistic punk. That would be of more use to society if he stopped being insufferable, pompous with his asshole antics and if he picked up the trash for a living.

I have watched Canadian Idol, all along, however for the exception of Rex Goudie and a few other Canadian Idol talents, I was never compelled to write about the show until now. I always viewed Zack the hack ass Werner as an idiot whose own good fortune has got to his head. Zack Werner has forgotten how to be a human being and how to treat other human beings. He has forgotten that he once was a younger person trying to make it. He has forgotten that viewers are pissed right off with his annual Canadian Idol antics of wanting to get attention. It did not escape my viewing attention each year, when he yelled at some of these kids in such a harsh way that he scared the daylights out of them. Is this really the road to stardom? Having to put up with over aged men who do not contain their tempers, whose class is all in their asses?

I have never seen a more ridiculous judge in all my life and I have to agree with American Idol’s Simon Cowell, “GET ANOTHER JUDGE," and ZACK WERNER’S DEMISE WOULD A WELCOME RELIEF TO VIEWERS. ZACK SIMPLY LACKS SIMON COWELL’S FLAIR TO MAKE EVEN HIS MOST NASTY REMARKS, FUNNY! I also note that Zack every year forbids, wantabee’s from twaning, or being soulful, ect…. Zack’s idea of a good song choice, is watching himself gargle in the morning. I would like to know what Zack suggests, what jandra should the hopefuls sing. Do it Zack’s way or it is the highway. I view Zack as this little insignificant gnat who starts having tiny fisted tantrums to draw attention to himself.

If the judges of Canadian Idol pick correctly, then viewers will be in for a great multi-talented show this year.

I also noted that the other three Judges, Farley, Jake and Sass have a better communication when it comes to judging talent. They actually, have some good advice for the hopefuls. The advise they give is such a breath of fresh air, in comparison to American Idol judges, Randy and Paula.

I am looking forward to a watching a good Canadian Idol year of sheer talent after such a bad season for American Idol which proved to be a big letdown to viewers!

American Idol Gives Back- To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world."

American Idol Gives Back- To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world."

This Article is written by Arne

American Idol gives back may prove to be one of the most extraordinary events in the history of television. Ordinary People can produce extraordinary results. It is far better to start something, to give something, to help someone, then to complain about the reasons that an event in helping another has taken place. Ancient Chinese proverbs suggest and guide that "The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it."

This event was not about Clay Aiken or Bono or the reasons why the event happened. This event was about real life struggle, hope, and survival for children and people who are living in extreme poverty conditions. The event was about how together we can accomplish anything. If you look at any photos of those persons that are living under the duress of extreme poverty, that are starving and in some cases dying. Look into their eyes; no matter what country they come from, what their cultural is, or what color they are, they all look the same. They have NO HOPE!

The difference between the impossible and possible lies in each person’s determination, each person’s willingness to help another, each person’s human compassion for the weakest of humankind. It was spoken by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."

We are all interconnecting branches to each other. The conditions that we face and those of us who choose to help another, only serves to strengthen humanity. Joyce Sequiche Hifler wrote” If we can envision life without a particular problem we can turn our minds to real change and have it happen. “

American Idol should be congratulated including the Judges and those competitors who thought of others on that night. Those stars of fame and fortune that not only appeared on the show, but also gave of themselves and gave to this great cause. Those companies like Ford, Coca- Cola, AT & T, All State, Exxon Mobile, Con Agra Foods, myspace.com, News Corporation, iTunes, and CPEF. Ellen Degenerous was funny and I loved her style when she advised those friends of hers that watch American Idol that they can afford to give! She was more then generous with her own personal donation of $100,000.

So far 60 million dollars has been raised, that is 60 million dollars more! Then last week that those people in dire need have available to them! (Celebrity Spider reported this date that American Idol gives back has raised and surpassed 60 million dollars)!

I think that if American Idol and their partners choose to do this they can dream bigger for next year, by allowing contributions and donations to be from all over the world! I think that the banks can also contribute! With the surplus they report annually.

The Late Great Senator Robert F Kennedy once reflected that “It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”

To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world."
(Casey). To the world your acts of kindness, generosity and your intent may not be deemed worthy or of substance, to one person you are the very source of their hope, of their better tomorrow. All those that contributed and gave are allowing another to live!

It was written by Emerson “It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.” To be great is to be misunderstood.” (Emerson)

American Idol Gives Back: Everyone is a star tonight in more ways then one!

Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'( Martin Luther King Jr)"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single minute before starting to improve the world ( Anne Frank) We wildly underestimate the power of the tiniest personal touch of kindness. (Author unknown)

What a wonderful thing that is taking place here. That a top show on television is HELPING! Those children that are less fortunate, those children that are living in depravation, those children that are living in horrid conditions, those children that are starving, those children that are living in the worst impoverished conditions, those children and people that have nothing and nobody to help them! Those people that have no hope until someone comes along to help, those that need a helping hand and kind acts to survive the cruelty that is part of their daily living regiment. It was spoken by Ghandi “To give pleasure to a single heart by a single act is better than a thousand heads bowing in prayer.”

What a spiritual awakening for not just those companies like American Idol that are extending their hands to help the desolate, but also those of us who are giving for this great cause and to better and improve the life of others, the life of strangers. Simple voting can change the lives of many people. Have you not had a better opportunity and point in your life that you had the chance to achieve such mighty greatness? What a spiritual blessing to be able to help another that are living in the depths of despair, at the very bottom of the abyss and the harshness of the realities of life for some. This is one of the brighter moments in American Idol history! This is one of the brighter moments for Ford, Coca Cola and AT and T. Everybody is a star, not just a star of fame of the musical arts, but also joyful and celebrated stars. This can very well be a life-changing event for those Americans who are starving and those in Africa who are starving. The poverty rates among children all over the world are staggering in numbers! Around 50,000 people die every day in Third World countries most of whom are children!

It is written among the stars that when one can help just one person, by making a difference in how they live, that that person’s life here on earth is substantiated in the heavens! Those that are helping have also changed haven’t they. Notice Simon this year, I really believe his journey to Africa and into the impoverished communities is a life-changing event for him and indeed has changed his outlook on life itself! Simon honestly did not realize how some people lived in America and how impoverished some global communities are such as in Africa.
Homeless in Canada

It takes all of us to help in any way we can! Do you know and realize that if everyone around the world gave just $1.00 and that money went directly to these great social, community, and global causes that it can change the lives of many. I am optimistic for the future of these children. This is the first great big step into worldwide recognition of what needs to be done for others!

POVERTY IN LA, California

This is not a time to put down others this is a time to rejoice in what is taking place here.
There is much work to be done in order to change the course of the lives of children and people. To extend your hand in kindness and giving can make an enormous difference in the life, fate of people and children’s destiny! Inevitable death is brought among those on the extreme poverty lines.

Melinda, Lakisha, Jordin, Blake, Phil and Chris have taking part in this event. Last night’s show was phenomenal, the songs selected from the competitors were right from their hearts and soul. In my opinion they were all stars last night. Last night the competitors were thinking of someone else and not just getting by another week or winning the competition. That is what makes American Idol gives back a very special life-changing event. It was written by Einstein” Try not to become a man of success but a man of value.”

American Idol, (specifically)Simon, and Ryan Coca Cola, AT& T, and Ford should be congratulated for the step they have taken to improve another’s life. It will always take more then one person and one group to help another. From the point of passing on the truth and revelation of how others must live in fact gives others the opportunity to extend their kindness, their humanness, and their sense of direction in giving. One does not have to know people on an intimate level in order to help them, you just have to want to help them in anyway you can. Every big or little bit helps to spark a chain reaction to a better tomorrow for the lives of others! To say that I am impressed would be an understatement. Very well done American Idol!

The pictures I selected was an effort to dispel the fact that homelessness in America is just reserved for minorties. NO! The truth is and the reality is that Homelessness and Poverty is in the United States, In Canada and in many other countries including Paris! Starvation and hunger hits every cultural every group and sub-group. These photos serve as a looking glass to the truth of poverty in America, In Africa, In Canada, ect.... They are graphic for a purpose to show the harsh reality of poverty, infliction, starvation and eventual death hit everyone not just old, the young as well! Become the voice of those that cannot speak for themselves!

All of the Idol competitors did very well last night, because they thought not of themselves but of trying to help make a diffrence in the songs they choose. Unfortunatly someone has to go. I disagree with Randy and Paula that Lakisha shouted out the song, there was no shouting at all. We must remember that none of these competitors sing the same.

Who I think should be going home: Blake
Who will be going home after America votes: Chris

Clay Vindicated- Gay Soldier Lied!

, , ,

American Idol - Gay Soldier comes out of closet, but did Clay Aiken? In Clay’s defense!

A year ago I wrote this Article on American Reality TV, now the liar Paulis has retracted his statement. Turns out I was right he was lying! Just proves my point on my first article today about the dishonesty of some Professional Media out there! " Don't believe everything that you are hearing America", looked what just happened with this retraction! Was it a mistake that this guy who accused Clay Aiken of having an affair with him, was mistaken? or was it was what I suspected this guy wanted to get some quick cash! ( The new victimization in America). To think they get paid a ton of money to take cheap shots and lie to us about people. Not to mention the character assination and defamation of character of Clay and that they take out on people. I took a lot of crap and belittlement over this article and my other articles that provoked the thought of American Idol and Clay Aiken fans. I would also like to thank the American Idol and Clay Aiken fans who supported the articles and gave their own truthful comments. Thank-you and we were all right in our conviction that this guy was lying. The Clay Nation Prevailed!!! I have noticed that for the Professional Media is not screaming in the headlines of Clay's vindication, I wonder why that is? They were all front and center last year with the Gay allegations. Interesting isn;'t it! Again, it just proves my point on Professional Media dishonesty! Now the Professional Media is trying to sugar coat the allegations and say it was a HOAX, no it was an outrageous LIE! A hoax is a good natured joke where nobody gets hurt, a lie and allegations, hurts all kinds of people!

I don’t know about anybody else, but who believes this Paullus guy? I know I don’t believe Paullus when he says that Clay Aiken picked him up and had a one night tryst with him! I don’t believe it for one second! Me thinks the ex green beret soldier wants to make some green money. I think that Clay Aiken is part of the new Victimization going on in America! It’s called, go to the tabloids, lie about your relationship with a star and then sift through all the book deals, movie deals, talk shows that you can! Enjoy your fifteen minutes of fame. Get a lawyer! Then name your price!

The Many Music Career Transitions of Icon Great Kenny Rogers: American Idol 04-05-06

The Many Music Career Transitions of Icon Great Kenny Rogers: American Idol 04-05-06

This Article is Written and Owned by: Arne

There are nine competitors left for Idol title and it was going to be a night of Country performances. Who better to represent the Country sound but Icon Great Kenny Rogers. Ryan did a good job in giving us Kenny Rogers musical prose and background in country music. Kenny Rogers’s roadmap and journey in his music career is an inspiration in itself. Even before he was Kenny Rogers and the first edition, he had established himself in the music industry as a talent of staying power. Many Kenny Rogers fans still feel today that he has been vastly underrated by the music authorities. To his fans, he is extraordinarily popular, he appeals to all age groups, and to date still sells millions of albums. Kenny Rogers keeps good credible company with other guest appearances such as Wonder and Manilow. I think that American Idol producers are doing a great job in their guest appearance selection. Icons greats like Kenny Rogers who appear on American Idol is a great memorable experience and guidance for the competitors and even for some viewers who may be considering a music career. Kenny Rogers gave honest gentle critique and guidance to the competitors. He pointed out if thought the song or parts of the song was weak. He knew if a competitor was going to struggle with the song or theme, and he also acknowledged if he thought competitors would be able to do more with a song then anticipated.

Ryan makes his presence known on stage and as usual looks good; however, Ryan did not have time to shave. The well-endowed suit and stubby cheeks is just not a match Ryan. It was a night that Ryan traded some grand slam barbs with Simon and that Paula Abdul received the boo nomination! Ryan introduced to the world Simon’s love life and Simon called Ryan a desperate housewife! Randy Jackson looked dapper and spiffy and we saw stars in the audience with Miss Whoppie Goldberg and Jamie Fox. In fact, they should have had Whoppie critique Simon; she would have made mincemeat out of him!

Simon Cowell has gotten himself in a bit of trouble lately when he decided to diss Beyonce Knowles. Simon made a statement that Beyonce is not sexy!!!! Moreover, an average singer! OK, let us separate the wheat from the chaff here; First Simon needs a reality check! Because in the same token Simon is not sexy, he does have a bit of a middle age gut on him! In addition, he is not the most handsome bloke on earth! In comparison to Beyonce who is a beautiful looking sexy woman who does indeed have a mountain of talent in singing and acting and has the staying power required for entertainment. Compare the spice girls talent to Destiny’s child and Beyonce Knowles, there is no comparison that Beyonce and Destiny Child reins supreme. Beyonce Knowles is the full package. Not only should Simon get his head and ears checked, he should get his eyes checked.

It was a night that Simon was even briefly tongue tied, and he related that he did not know what to say. It was also a night the we saw for the very first time Chris Daughtry Rise to the Challenge and show the viewers that alas, Daughtry has a voice and he can sing. For the first time we saw all nine performances based on the theme. It was a night that Paula accused Simon of being a double talker in his critique; to be fair I think that Paula is also guilty of that and so is Randy Jackson. All three judges double talk in their critiques. Just a special note, Simon admits he is no expert on Country music and he does not like Country music, so his critiques are more personal then that of an expert!

First up was Soul Man Taylor Hicks, I continue to love to see Taylor perform. Even on his worst night, he performs and you just cannot help but love this guy! Taylor sang for us John Denver’s “Country Road”. The redundancy of dumb, dumber and dumbest continues: Randy said good song choice! Nevertheless, it was just ok for him! (If you ever notice with Randy, it is always just okor aight)! Paula did not like the song choice and had expected more because Taylor is so full of life, the song did not allow him to shine or electrify the viewers. Simon pit-bull image comes springing out and he asserted that the performance was boring, safe and lazy. I disagree with Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest, I think that Taylor did a excellent job and he at least rises to the occasion each week!

Ryan quipped, safe, boring and lazy, “ladies and gentlemen this is Simon’s love life”. ha ha ,ha, lets give Ryan 100 points for that quip, it was great, I know I enjoyed Ryan’s wittiness.

Mandisa is front and center and sings for us Shania Twain’s “Any man of mine”. Randy said it was a weird song choice for him; it was not hot but showed some personality. Paula did some double-talking and extended that Mandisa can sing the phone book, her voice is amazing, but it was not a good song choice. Simon started growling his discontent and said it was fun and cutesy but he did not like the song choice. I also disagree with dumb ones; Mandisa did a excellent job with the theme on hand.

Elliot Yamin was up to bat next and he sang for us Garth Brooks “If Tomorrow never comes“. Randy loved the performance. Paula loves him and he is a breath of fresh air. Simon thought Elliott was nervous a good song choice but not a great vocal. Again, I disagree Elliott also did an outstanding job.

Baby Paris Bennett is up next who sang Leann Rimes “How do I live”. First, my critique, wow, Paris really hit it out of the ballpark and gave the best performance of the night. She was bang on. Randy (Dumber) said that it was a tough song choice, not good in the beginning but she got it together, it was alight! Paula (dumb) did not feel connected to the song, but Paris is a powerhouse. (Paula was booed at this point) Simon, decides to cash in on the audience’s jeers and boos against Paula, and disagrees with her! He loved the song and it was an excellent song choice. The audience cheers for Simon, who feels redeemed and human! He boosts that he is lovin the transition of who is the most loved Judge. (Feel better now Simon?).

Up on stage base next is Ace Young who sang for us Keith Urban’s “I wanna cry”. Well I was pleasantly surprised at Ace’s performance; he gave an excellent, outstanding performance. Randy was bored, nice song but did not bring out Ace’s personality. Paula trying to redeem herself with the audience now disagreed with Randy and felt that Ace picked the right song choice to go along with his vocals. Simon eating up the audience cheers and craving for more shed his pit-bull image and said that in the past Ace had not chosen the right song but tonight he has and it was very good. Simon is cheered and Simon grins at Paula and Randy!

Next up was that Vixen Kellie Pickler who sang Reba McIntyre’s “Fancy”. Randy eager to give brownie points to Miss Thing, said that Kellie is in her element and he thought it was great. Paula gave a pass with a good song choice. Great night for her. Simon looking flushed as he always does around Kellie (sad isn't it to see a grown middle age man so smitten with a young lass, that he is all tongue-tied). Simon said, that it could not go wrong for Kellie tonight, he hated the song (sureeeeeee you did Simon) but her performance was good.

Next up was Mr. Rise to the challenge Chris Daughtry. Now I know some have said Chris bombed, but I have to give the man his props and due. At least he tried, and overall he did not sound too bad. Obviously Chris is out of his comfort zone, but the fact is he at least tried it. I know by the look on Chris’s face, he hated every minute of his performance, he can be comforted in knowing, that we the fans enjoyed the change in his performance. Randy, emphasized so we could all be reminded that every week Chris did his rocker thang! This week we saw a different side of Chris, Randy then got all emotional, as he tends to do with Rockers and said good job he enjoyed it. “I’ll rock to that Randy”! Paula not wanting to be outdone said that he showed versatility but he stayed true to himself, (talk about doubletalk) Um Paula, he could not of showed versatility and stayed true to his rock roots! Simon who hates country music said it was great to see this side of Chris, but all the competitors choose boring, uninteresting songs and he felt the home audience deserved more then that. (Awww Simon, for a brief shiny moment, you were loved globally!)

Next up was Katherine McPhee who sang Faith Hill is “Bringing out the Elvis”. Katherine started out strong , started slipping in the middle but gave a good finish. Randy liked the song. Paula thought Katherine had found her niche. Simon thought that the performance was weird he did not like it. Katherine responded to Simon” just admit it, you don’t like country music”! Simon did owe up to this fact. 100 points for Katherine for challenging Simon’s critique and making him owe up to the fact he does not like Country. You go girl!

Closing the show was Mr. Sweetness Bucky Covington. I like Bucky; he is refreshing in his nativity! Bucky sang for us Gary Allen’s “Best I ever had”. Randy thought it was aight. Paula thought he was in his element and he shone in his performance. Simon exerted that he was not an expert in this kind of music it sounded ok to him!

The best performances of the night: 1. Paris 2. Elliott 3. Taylor 4. Chris Daughtry (I have to give him a rating today, based on the fact he rose to the challenge).

The worst performances of the night: 1. Kelly Pickler 2. Katherine McPhee

Who will be going home tonight after America votes: Kellie Pickler( just because I think she is losing her country charm with American Idol fans).

The dumbest award goes to Paula for saying that Simon double-talks in his critques which she also does.

The Dumber award goes to Randy: He is aight, just not hot in his critique.

The Dumb award goes to Simon: For commenting on the performances and admitting that, he does not like country music.

Special Dumbest Award goes to Simon Cowell. For the Beyonce Knowles crack.

Special good guy Award goes to Ryan Seacrest: for getting the best of Simon.

Kenny Rogers will be peforming for us tonight, I look forward to this as do many fans!

One Extreme to the other-Worst Theme Performances in American Idol History: American Idol recap 03-29 -06-Lisa Tucker was robbed- 03-30-06

This Article is Written and Owned by: Arne

By now most journalists, authors and writers of blogs have all agreed that the 21st Century theme was one of the worst shows in American Idol history! The 21st Century theme night was a complete and absolute disaster. The performances lacked any energy, any highlighting of the competitors vocal range and singing talent, and any spontaneity. Frankly, the 21st century was a snooze fest and most of the performances bombed. What bland, uninspiring performances by most of the competitors.

The problem I saw with the 21st century is that it did not not give the competitors enough guidance, so they erred in their song choices. I think that theme nights should be the way that they have been, guest appearances from those artists who are well developed and integrated in music. Artists that are Icons and have staying power seem to give the competitors more to go on, then simply letting them choose out of a catalogue! The competitors are novices, you can hand them a catalogue of over 5000 songs, and they simply do not have enough knowledge or experience to choose a song that is suited for their vocal range and instead of highlighting their vocals as an asset, their vocals sounded more like a liability!

Having said that there were a four show savers out of the top ten. Two of who landed in the bottom three, and one who was sent home!

Lisa Tucker and Katherine McPhee certainly did not belong in the bottom three at all! Taylor and Elliott also gave good sound performances. We also need to remind American Idol, that Kelly Clarkson is a powerful talent today! However, when she started on AI, she did not have the same power in her singing as she does today! Frankly, if one listens to their favourite artists or singing group, first album then listen to their third or fourth album, there is quite a difference in their vocals and even their performances! Lisa’s did a very good job on Clarkson’s song.

I certainly hope that the judges and specifically Simon are thrilled and satisfied that Lisa is gone. We all know that Simon worked at assuring that each week! Nobody should be shocked this is exactly what Simon was working on! As a matter of fact Simon’s final quote on elimination night, i.e. “that anyone could have been sent home, was too little to late!” The fact and truth of the matter is that Lisa had been underrated by the judges from the beginning. I also think that Lisa who smiled through every put down that Simon could give her, is a most eloquent, mature girl, who at 16, knows her potential and what she will be doing in her future. Lisa had commented that she has been working towards a singing career all of her life and it is what she wants to do. I do not think that Lisa Tucker will have any problem in the future of making it. Stevie Wonder and Barry Manilow both were surprised at Lisa’s powerful voice and vocal range! AI was a good experience for Lisa. It gave her insight on what it was like and just confirmed her conviction that she will be an artist of considerable staying power one day!!

The performances were so bad that we saw extremities with two of the competitors, we saw Daughtry continue not to rise to the challenge, to the point that Simon finally told him, that he could not continue to do these types of performances each week and that he went to far! Chris simply shrugged! Then we see Mandisa singing a gospel song! I am sorry, but this is American Idol and as much as I love gospel music in groups like the Mississippi and Georgia Mass Choir, Kurt Franklin ect. I was totally put in shock with both performances given by Mandisa and Daughtry! It was one extreme to the other!

Who should have been in the bottom three were Chris Daughtry, Mandisa and Kelli Pickler. These performances on 21-st century theme night were the ones that were by far the worst in my opinion!

I certainly hope this is not an indication of what to expect each week!

On to other things, Ryan Seacrest looked great each night, dressed in suits that make him look handsome. While Simon Cowell was his usual charming self and was more likened to a Pit Bull! Paula is continuing to show strength in her character by given her own true opinion. I did note that at one point Simon was trying to control Paula! Paula had been clapping for a competitor and Simon grabbed her arm and sat her back down! Paula jerked her arm away from him!

Simon!!! Paula is in fact a woman!!! If she chooses to stand, up and clap because she enjoyed a peformaance that is completely and absolutely up to her! If fans of AI do not agree with it or feel she or any judge is showing favoritism! Then we will let them know through our blogs, articles ect ! Simon you need to keep your hands to yourself! It seems to me you tried to pounce and trample Paula’s self-esteem and feminity, by calling her a precocious child! However, Simon, your own actions indicate that you yourself are acting childish! Frankly Paula and Simon have more of are relationship of feuding siblings. Simon instigates many of Paula’s reactions! Simply, the camera’s catch’s only Paula’s reactions to Simon, making her look bad!

All That Buzz- American Idol producers thinking of replacing Paula Abdul! You will never guess with whom- 03-25-2006

This Article is written and owned by: Arne

On Thursday March 23-2006, television news reported that American Idol Producers are thinking about replacing Paula Abdul for her outlandish and strange behaviour like hitting Simon, aggressiveness with Simon and incoherent feedback. The most baffling of this report is that they are thinking of either Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson as replacements! Are they out of their minds! First Britney Spears is considered in most mainstream households as a home wrecker! A man stealer! Jessica Simpson has her own problems and has just been divorced. If they are thinking of replacing Paula, could they not come up with other more CREDIBLE PEOPLE FOR THE REPLACEMENT?

My Opinion:

No I for one do not want to see Paula go! I do not dislike Paula, I like her, and I just think at times she can give better feedback then she does! Having said that, we could say the same for Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson are they going to replace them to?

In Paula’s defence:

I do not think Simon is the easiest person to work with at all! I think that he takes hissy and pissy fits, and that Paula is surrounded with men with no female support! I think that Paula is starting at times to show strength, when she told Simon this week that she would never give him flattering words. (I thought that was great, she gave him a dose of his own medicine)!

What American Idol can do is separate them by having Randy Jackson sit in the middle of them. Really, Simon has a piss poor attitude at the best of times, do not blame it on Paula! I for one want to see Paula really give it to Simon, its entertaining and he deserves it. I love it when Ryan tops Simon. I think many American Idol viewers enjoy it as well.

Finally, Paula could of very well been on medication when she was incoherent, she had not been feeling well if I remember it correctly. I said in a previous article that I did not think she was drunk or on drugs! However, if medications were changed or she was taking an antibiotic her internal system could have been unbalanced. Medications tend to do this to a person including some antibiotics. American Idol leave Paula as Judge, we need her and Ryan to control Simon’s outbursts!

If American Idol producers and Simon think that we will enjoy watching a hag like Britney Spears they have another thing coming. Britney Spears lost her credibility with fans young and old when she became a man stealer and a home wrecker. Neither replacements in Spears or Simpson would be an INCENTIVE!

Would you like to see Paual Abdul Replaced with Jessica or Britney? Vote in the poll.

Other American Idol News:

Simon Cowell appeared on Larry King live on March 17,2006. Simon gave his top three pick( we already know about this and who they are). The best of the inverview is when Simon’s mum called in and she gave us some interesting facts about Simon. For example it seems that Simon likes to shock people, Mrs. Cowell related a story that in on interveiw Simon, told the audience that he was 11 years old before he knew what hot food was! Mrs.Cowell said that she was sitting there watching the show and thought to herself, “I will kill him, I will absolutely kill him”.

Simon’s mom also shared that Simon can sing and dance!!! And that he is kind! ( she added she should know she’s his mom!) Now who can argue with that assertion from one’s mom! Simon’s mom seems to be a spirited jovial lady, she related to Simon and Larry King that she bet that Simon thought she had been sleeping, but she hadn’t she had been out at a disco! Then she added in a fun voice, “ can you believe that!” Simon was responding ok mum, go back to bed! I think that Simon’s mom is probably a very fun lady to be around! She has definitely not stopped living!

Simon also related that he has a close family and he is very close to his brothers and sister and was close to his father! Simon received calls from viewers on Larry King Live, including one genttlemen who asked the famous question:"Is American Idol going to fix that voting system to ensure that we( fans) don't continue to lose talent like Gedeon McKinney! Simon's response was that he could not honestley think of a fairer way for voting. I could! At least limit the votes to 10 times per competitor, I think that would be fair!!

The Night of Icon Great Barry Manilow: American Idol week Recap-03-21-06

This article is written and owned by: Arne

American Idol has brought back its theme nights and along with the themes we get to enjoy an array of Icon greats who have staying power in the music industry. I have long argued that it is premature to ever call new singing talents or singing groups diva’s and Icons. These treasured names are reserved for talents like Barry Manilow and Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Barbara Streisand, Elton John, Patty Labelle, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, the Four Tops ECT…... This is why if the talent is new or has not been around as long as they should; my articles will only refer to them as great. (That is if I feel they are great). Mariah Carey, Alisha Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Fantasia Barrino and Avril Levigne are great! They are not divas or Icons yet!

On December 21 /2006, Barry Manilow graced our television screens and allowed us to glimpse at the hard work that goes into preparing for singing performances. Mr. Manilow observed and helped each of the competitors hone in on their vocal ranges and assets to help them prepare for the fifties theme night. I would imagine that appearances of Icon greats like Manilow and Wonder also helps those that are not in the competition but dream of having a singing career. Barry Manilow had made his debut Album “Barry Manilow” in 1973. He has 33 years experience of captivating the pop music industry. Before he made his debut album, he was a musical director for a CBS show titled “Callback”. In 1971, Icon Great Bette Midler hired him as her pianist, arranger, and musical director. He directed her first two albums (1972's The Divine Miss M and its self-titled follow-up), and debuted some of his original material at her Carnegie Hall show in the summer of 1972. Needless to say, it is safe to assume that Barry Manilow knows what he is talking about given his knowledge of music, music career and staying power. Barry had stated that if he would retire from singing performances that he would help other younger singers achieve their dream.

The show opened and dapper dressed Ryan Seacrest makes his appearance (a week before Simon Cowell had a new shirt on, but he did away with it and went back to his routine of wearing drab uninspiring plain T-shirts). Simon actually looked good in his new shirt; it made us all pay attention to him. Ryan does his usual intros of the competitors and judges and they exchange small talk. However, Simon was not in a good mood that night! He seemed to of been pissed off and he showed he was pissed off in his critique of the competitors.

Mandisa sang first,” I don’t hurt anymore by Dinah Washington”. Barry said that Mandisa is one of a kind, she has no range limit and can sing anything( he is in agreement with Stevie Wonder, they both know what they are talking about). Randy said, Classy, great, amazing. Paula said flawless performance and Simon said, Mandisa is blossoming and gave a “sexy performance”.

Bucky was up next and he sang “Oh Boy” by the late Icon great Buddy Holly. Barry coached Bucky and said that this song was a joyful piece of music and in his opinion; it was the right choice for Bucky’s vocals. Randy said, rights song choice not best vocal. Paula said good song choice and performance. Simon said, he would give a reality check ( heh, heh, heh). Nothing more then a pointless Karaoke so what performance! ( Simon is repetitious with his Karaoke renditions don’t you think!

Next up was Paris Bennett who sang a Peggy Lee song, “ Fever”. Barry said, that Paris is so young to have that kind of depth in her voice, it was shocking. He extended that Paris has an enormous singing career before her. Randy said, wow, middle was so, so but she blew it out of the box. Paula, thought it was amazing and for lack of anything more to add, she commented on Paris’s dress. Simon said, this is what you do best, perfect voice for that type of song.

Next up was Chris Daughtry who again didn’t rise to the challenge, he sang the late icon great’s Johnny Cash’s “Walk the line”. Barry said, he has a good handle on who he is and what are his strengths. Randy said, wasn’t best vocal and it took a different spin on it. Paula said, she waits for Chris every week and he is true to who he is. Simon said, wasn’t the best vocal but he is the first competitor on the show that refuses to compromise.( sorry Simon I don’t view him as an artist, that’s why he is on American Idol trying to win, he hasn’t made it yet!!!) My opinion, is that these are nice beautiful feedbacks, however!!! I think its wrong advice to give Chris and let me give you the reasons why! The time for Chris to refuse to compromise is if he wins Idol title! Or he is in the scope of making an album and has a contract! The worst time to refuse to compromise is NOW!

Frankly if Chris is going to sing a Johnny Cash song then I and many of us expect to hear a good performance of country and western( even if he wants to put a different spin on it) not a rock rendition! Finally, Bo Bice was the first to refuse to compromise and he didn’t win Idol title, did he?( he came in second best)! If Chris Daughtry expects to get to the final two, then he better start rising to the challenge. He and the Judges have to remember, that American Idol voters has had enough experience at this, and we have seen the Chris Daughtry’s of the competitions before; and who can’t seem to rise to the challenge of what American Idol competition is about.

In ending, I have received emails from fans who didn’t want to run the risk of having an online battle with other fans, who basically have said, that Chris Daughtry’s performances are nothing special! They are in agreement with my assertion that he needs to rise to the challenge and prove why he would be the best choice for American Idol win. This of course goes for any of the competitors. It’s not just one great performance, you have to be great, outstanding and set yourselves apart from the rest of the crowd! Refusing to compromise, cute, pretty or handsome isn’t going to get any of them the win and the judges need to relay that information to them in their critiques.

Moving along we had Katherine McPhee sing the late Icon great Ella Fitzgerald’s” Come Rain Come Shine” Barry said, ( sorry forgot exactly what Barry said, but I know he was impressed with Katherine’s vocals.) Randy said, Wow, was not his favourite vocal but she still gave a strong performance. Paula said, she looked exquisite! ( this is Paula’s way if she doesn’t think the performance is on par, she comments on how they look, very boring and not very unique Paula).Simon said, that she turned into a star and he loved it.

Taylor Hicks was up next who does rise to the challenge every week. He sang for us Icon great‘s Buddy Holly‘s “Not Fading Away”. Barry said he sings way high, but it does not sound like its high. Randy said, not the most challenging song vocally, he is a big fan of Taylor‘s. Paula said, fantastic, confident, one of a kind. Simon who prefers to play footsey with Kellie Pickler said that it was a complete mess (then amid boo‘s and jeers from the audience, Simon had to scream to be heard that it was a hideous party performance.) (I think that should have been given to a couple of performances but not to Taylor) Simon is wrong!

The Underrated Lisa Tucker is up next and she sings for us, Frankie Lymons’s “Why do fools fall in love”. As usual Lisa blows it out for us, does an excellent job, and as usual the Judges do not!!!! Give her proper credit! Barry said, that Lisa is a powerhouse!!!! I think he does know and has a good ear! Randy said, and says it was a good song choice and performance, just aight. Paula says she got back to the youthfulness. She’s a powerhouse. Simon says he feels he trapped in some high school musical, it was cutesy, just ok, not a wow performance. ( Again, wouldn’that comment be best reserved for Kellie Pickler Simon? You know the gal that is working you over and your to dumb to even know it)!!! So Lisa gets overlooked because she doesn’t make goo goo eyes at Simon??? Give me a rather large break! Simon! Kellie isn’t as innocent as she is portraying and as a social worker who works with Kids, I see the game that Kellie’s playing with Simon! That won’t work with American voters!

Kevin Covais sang next, singing another snooze fest song “When I Fall In Love” by Icon great Doris Day. Barry said that Kevin was the most precious of all the competitors. Randy said that it was not one of his favourite songs but he did a good job even though he had some pitch problems. Paula said, she loves him (sigh) .Simon said, he is a man and he takes it well. Now for the exception of Randy, the other two dummies did not give a good critique, they waded in the pool!

Next up was Elliott Yamin. Who sang Icon Greats Al Jarreau’s “Teach Me Tonight” (can’t quite recall what Barry said, but he was wowed with Elliott) Randy says he picked the toughest song to sing and Elliott worked it out. The level was difficult for that song. Paula has goose bumps. (sigh) she loves him to!!!! Simon said it was fantastic.

Next up was Kellie Pickler is up next! Who sang Patsy Cline’s “Walkin After Midnight Randy says it was a great song choice and she did a good performance. Paula said she was awesome. Simon says she got it absolutley right. It was sexy, it was great.

Ok now here is the big freakin problem I have with this. Kelly sang a Patsy Cline song about a woman losing her man! I would love to know why she was not told that song was too old for her! According to Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest (specifically Simon) Kellie should not have that experience yet! They have in past seasons said as much to Diana DeGarmo, Carrie Underwood, Paris Bennett and they especially work this consensus on Lisa Tucker. What a bunch of literal crock coming from the judges. No again we (America) are noticing how Simon favours Kelly, not because she has the best vocal, it is because she flirts with him and he is attracted to her. Not very fair to more talented singers. Perhaps Simon needs to take a very cold shower when he Judges!

Ace Young closes the show and sings for us the Five Satin‘s “In The Still Of The Night”. Randy is impressed and gives Ace props. Paula says that was probably the sexiest sultry performance he has done the whole season. Simon says it was not the best vocal tonight, one of his stronger performances.

Best performances of the Night: 1. Katherine McPhee 2. Elliott Yemin 3. Lisa Tucker

Worst Performances of the Night. 1. Kevin Covais 2. Chris Daughtry

Who went home: No Surprise Kevin Covais.

Dumbest award goes to Simon Cowell: for being to dense to give proper critique to the more talented singers, and for not realizing that Bo Bice was the first American Idol competitor not to compromise!!!

Dumbest award goes to Paula Abdul: For not giving any worthwhile critique.

Dumb award goes to Randy Jackson: He was just aight, but much better at the critique then the other two judges.

Modern Day Lynching of Clay Aiken- It’s Boycott Time!!!

Modern Day Lynching of Clay Aiken- It’s Boycott Time!!!03-01-06

This Article is written and owned by: Arne

All right Clay Aiken Fans, in wake of the newest “Let’s get Clay” effort, it is about time we do a little more then just talk about it! Since some media want to get footloose and fancy-free, so should we in defence of Clay.

My suggestions are as follows:

1. Boycott, any media that wants to print this unsubstantiated garbage about Clay!!! Meaning we will not buy their papers, not talk about their articles, turn off or change the channels of any news media that supports and reports this garbage! In addition, we will use our communicative prose by passing the word along of the boycott!!. Really if you want to hit them were it hurts, it will always be in their pocketbooks and in their ratings!!!.

2. Every Clay Aiken fan forum, blog, ect, we need to ensure that we get the truth out, as in Paullis is a L-I-A_R--now my research tells me that Clay was at the Gaylord Entertainment Center on the night in question, which was December 16, 2006. (If I do not have the event right please correct me).

3. No matter how repetitious we sound, we must ensure there are just as many responses that Paullis initially lied and this is a modern day lynching!

4. With all the technology we have at our disposal today, photos can easily and effortlessly be manipulated. This is done through computers, scanners and digital cameras. Some experts claim that the technology and some software are so advanced that it is hard to tell the fake ones from the real ones. However, there is still tell tale signs in the fake ones. The concerns of the experts are is that not only are photos being manipulated, so are people, who are hoodwinked into believing something false!

Clay Aiken fans may want to exercise all, some or none of my suggestions, or they may have some great concepts of their own. I do think Boycotting is the right way to go. Signing petitions is not as effective as getting them in their ratings and pocketbooks.

I personally am sick and tired of reading garbage, at least on our blogs we just say how we feel about a show, we do not start delving in someone’s personal life. My issue with the big time media is enough exposure is given to the famous and what is believed to be issues. In contrast hardly enough exposure is reported on real life every day issues, that effect a society or nations! It is time for all the little people to tell these large moguls enough is enough! Were not interested in nonsense, unsubstantiated crap. I personally, absolutely Refuse!! To allow any group to manipulate me into false pretences and assisting them in discriminating against other human beings! That is the bottom line!

Finally, if Clay Aiken advises that he is not Gay then that is good enough and credible enough for me! In ending,I am personally tired of watching good people taken down by headlines! We,the consumer has more power then were aware of, we can make or break any company,by not buying their product or watching or listening to their shows!

Clay Aiken: Gender roles and challenges: A Critique Continuum- American Idol- 02-26-06

This Article is written and owned by: Arne

Reading the several articles out there about Clay Aiken and this latest nonsense issue, I did hone in one that had transcripts of Diane Sawyers interview with Clay. This is in part why these women made the brilliant (not) deduction that Clay must be gay, because he had responded to a question that he did have feminine qualities but had said NO! he was not gay!

Alrighty then let us break this particular statement down shall we! First, someone admitting that they have feminine qualities in their makeup does not mean they are necessarily gay. What it means to me personally is that Clay has simply admitted what most American men have, which is the same feminine qualities.

Think of it!! We all now live in a world that has changed and western societies have for the most part changed drastically!! even if you are from the South. Today’s males change their children’s diapers, they cook, they clean (help their spouses with housework) they do laundry, they do dishes, they normally equally help in parenting their child. Due to this change in society and changed perceptions on gender roles, all males can say they have feminine qualities in their makeup. Most males may do all or some of the above duties in their daily life. Does this make them gay and should they be expected to be labelled and stigmatized as gay?

Today’s females equally have male qualities, women work, they take jobs as business executives, police officers, politicians, such as senators, mayors, lawyers, doctors, firewomen, ambulance drivers, sports programs such as hockey ( the Canadian women hockey team just won the gold medal). Wrestling, truck drivers, pilots and in the military, judges and so on. They mow the grass, take out the garbage and so on and so forth. Today’s women also have male qualities due to the same ideologies and perceptions of gender roles in today’s society. Do these daily tasks make them gay?

This is due to progress; men are no longer considered the sole breadwinners in the home and having the women dependent on them for survival. In the old days, women were supposed to be barefoot and pregnant so to speak, and men were the King of the castle so to speak. This no longer applies does it!

Further men take jobs as nurses, as secretaries, and so on. (since men were once dominant in the world of work, there is not as big as a list as with women)! Men also are single parents and raise their children single handily, does this make them gay?

If the perception on feminine qualities are that one must be gay, and that Clay Aiken is gay. Because they have feminine qualities and perform tasks that was once separated to either gender. Well then there are millions of gay people living in America and western society! In a whole! Really what is one’ s definition of a man, that he has to thump his chest like Tarzan and be that big, strong, he man! No my personal description of a man is one that helps rear his children, that changes diapers, that helps around the house.

Males and females over time have changed that old process; both women and men usually work in any duel parent household. Single parents are contrived of either a women or men raising their children alone! The world has changed and the days of a man being the breadwinner and women left at home to raise the children, run the household and have supper on the table at five has been out the window for a very long time. In fact, most parents are teaching their children no matter what gender they are to be independent, and are teaching them life skills, including the above. The life skills we teach our children today are necessary for their survival on all levels including household chores and child rearing!

Clay Aiken is not gay; he is a desirable young man that has morals, values and sound intellect. Clay Aiken is a spiritual person and his conduct and behaviour has been exemplary. The world has changed to this degree as well. The minute that someone comes along that is clean, not into to drugs and that their behaviour is so exemplary and above the norm: Then this society wants to find something wrong with him or her! I think Clay Aiken is an important example to the younger generation and he establishes and encourages great character in not just the younger generation; also some adults who are in great need of this guidance!!

Finally, why is there such an importance attached to whether a person is gay or not? I do not get what the difficulty is in that thought process. I think as long as it is two CONSENTING ADULTS, in any relationship there should be no issues on gender. There is too much of a gay phobia going on in the world today, for no reason but ignorance if you ask me. Are gay people not human beings? What any consenting adult does behind close doors is their business and should remain their business!!! Further gay people have the same EQUAL RIGHTS, as anyone else on the planet! They have the right to same life, liberty and freedom that we all value. I think there are other social issues that I would love to see taken up! This is not an issue; it is a choice that two people make. Further, Dick Cheney’s daughter is gay! Did it stop his popularity in getting re-elected? I think that but for the few ignorant people out there, that America really doesn’t have a gay phobia, the problem is that those few that do, are the ones that make the headlines!

Clay Aiken’s choice is not to kiss and tell, Clay Aiken’s choice is to value his personal privacy, Clay Aiken’s choice is not to have loose morals or values, Clay Aiken’s choice is to have a spiritual path and he follows that path. It should be left to Clay to determine, when, if and with whom! he will have a relationship with, without the interference of others including flimsy and ignorant interpretations of the law! He certainly does not owe any explanation to anyone on those personal choices! It is Clay Aikens life, not anyone else’s and he should be left to conduct his life anyway he chooses. These allegations are nonsense, they are malicious and vicious from my perception. The only harm that is being done is to a fine young man that has chosen to walk tall!!!
