Modern Day Lynching of Clay Aiken- It’s Boycott Time!!!03-01-06

All right Clay Aiken Fans, in wake of the newest “Let’s get Clay” effort, it is about time we do a little more then just talk about it! Since some media want to get footloose and fancy-free, so should we in defence of Clay.
My suggestions are as follows:
1. Boycott, any media that wants to print this unsubstantiated garbage about Clay!!! Meaning we will not buy their papers, not talk about their articles, turn off or change the channels of any news media that supports and reports this garbage! In addition, we will use our communicative prose by passing the word along of the boycott!!. Really if you want to hit them were it hurts, it will always be in their pocketbooks and in their ratings!!!.
2. Every Clay Aiken fan forum, blog, ect, we need to ensure that we get the truth out, as in Paullis is a L-I-A_R--now my research tells me that Clay was at the Gaylord Entertainment Center on the night in question, which was December 16, 2006. (If I do not have the event right please correct me).
3. No matter how repetitious we sound, we must ensure there are just as many responses that Paullis initially lied and this is a modern day lynching!
4. With all the technology we have at our disposal today, photos can easily and effortlessly be manipulated. This is done through computers, scanners and digital cameras. Some experts claim that the technology and some software are so advanced that it is hard to tell the fake ones from the real ones. However, there is still tell tale signs in the fake ones. The concerns of the experts are is that not only are photos being manipulated, so are people, who are hoodwinked into believing something false!
Clay Aiken fans may want to exercise all, some or none of my suggestions, or they may have some great concepts of their own. I do think Boycotting is the right way to go. Signing petitions is not as effective as getting them in their ratings and pocketbooks.
I personally am sick and tired of reading garbage, at least on our blogs we just say how we feel about a show, we do not start delving in someone’s personal life. My issue with the big time media is enough exposure is given to the famous and what is believed to be issues. In contrast hardly enough exposure is reported on real life every day issues, that effect a society or nations! It is time for all the little people to tell these large moguls enough is enough! Were not interested in nonsense, unsubstantiated crap. I personally, absolutely Refuse!! To allow any group to manipulate me into false pretences and assisting them in discriminating against other human beings! That is the bottom line!
Finally, if Clay Aiken advises that he is not Gay then that is good enough and credible enough for me! In ending,I am personally tired of watching good people taken down by headlines! We,the consumer has more power then were aware of, we can make or break any company,by not buying their product or watching or listening to their shows!

Yes, it's time the "little people" do something about the trash spewed out by the tabloids -- boycotting the advertisers is a way to do it -- I'm starting today! No one deserves the lies being told in these so-called papers -- no one deserves this kind of treatment. Celebrities whose names are dragged through the mud "for fun & entertainment" are constantly having to battle these types of stories -- and it's getting worse. Now, a tabloid prints the lies but covers themselves with the words "alleged" or "rumored" -- then the lies are picked up by other media, the internet, & radio DJs and reported as "news" conveniently leaving off the "alleged" and "rumored" words. When did tabloids begin become a source for entertainment news? What happened to researching sources -- what happened to integrity in reporting?
Thank you for wirting this today -- I hope we hear more supporting words for Clay Aiken and other celebrities dealing with lies printed about them every day.

Obviousley, anyone that takes the time to make a comment like this is not a critical thinker. Let me share my educational and work related background. First I at the end of studying my undergrad degree in where I double major in Criminology and Conflict Resolution! After fiver years of studying, and becoming increasingley disgusted with our laws. I have made the decison for my graduate degree to study HUMAN RIGHTS LAW AND LEGISLATIVE LAW.
I went into my studies five years ago thinking I was preparing to be either a defence lawyer or a prosuctor. I am graduating this year and because of my educational knowledge, there is NO WAY IN HELL!!!!!! that I would be either of the above, namely, because I wouldn't be able to stand to defend somebody that rapes a child, that uses the law to enhance discrimination ect... ect... as well as the leniencey that some offenders receive by western society courts.
I have every intention to fight for law reform.
Now, as far as my head being checked I know were I am going in life!!! Do you. I also work as a social worker!
HOw about you, what are your goals, do you even have any!!!!

There is so many deeper issues that we should be concerned about, that we should be demanding that there is law reform. Yet western seems to operate in their daily life, virtually ignoring!!!! these issues. I wonder if we are so desensitized by every day life, that we don't even seem to be able to identify that these criminal acts are a problem. In my view this is no longer a social problem!!!! It is a social and community and national responsiblity!!!!
Sexuality is a personal choice and should not be an issue. If people really want to operate with integrity, we will then defend those that need our support and we will start sending messages about modern day lynchings like this one and reinforce it with what needs to be looked at and after! I would love to see the same media undertake real SOCIAL ISSUES, instead of trying to bring a good person down! Again, it will take alot more then fake photoes to convince me, and if they managed to do this!! I would still say SO WHAT!!!!! if someone is gay, so there gay! I am just alot more interested in real social issues!!!!

We should ALL respond to your article MODERN DAY LYNCHING OF CLAY AIKEN by sending you a grateful THANK YOU. Finally, someone (you) have confronted this sick press crap by giving us, and showing us, telling us, what we can do to put a big hole into the pockets of the Advertisers who pay these rag sheets,and to the TV Channels who report it as news. Boycott is the way to go. Letters, faxes, emails sent directly to them expressing our indignation - ADVISING THEM OF OUR BOYCOTT...keep it going. I hope that we can come up with names, addresses, email addresses, etc. I did one other thing. I sent a fax to RCA Records and to Clay's Management company to let them know that we are solidly supporting Clay Aiken and anxiously awaiting the release of his single - and the Album....that we all feel confident that the record sales will go through the roof and beyond MEASURE OF A MAN....and in view of this sick press and the outrage of fans.............bigger than ever.

Why do you keep this making this an issue about the privacy of someone's sexuality- although you SWEAR he is not gay though the mounting evidence is becoming over-whelming he is- but this is about a hypocrite and a poor role model - he and his fans have set him up some saintly character who would be exposed no matter if he was doing this with girls instead of guys. I don't believe any of this garbage! I will believe Clay is gay when HE says he is! He has given me NO reason to believe he is gay! I feel the reason he won't deny being gay is because he will not dignify such false accusations with an answer! People used to be innocent until proven guilty. it's my understanding the that intial phone call supposedly took place, the evening of Clay's show in Nashville, the actual first 'meeting' was on a date that he was actaully in New York, not NC...not like it really matters though, when one is making up a story, sometimes it's easy to make a mistake...and I belive this all to be crap.
I am ready for this to all be gone, taken out with the rest of the trash...but you asked to be told if that was not correct...so,well, there ya go !!

Well, looks like the haters have found your site. They continue. They are wrong. Clay does not lie. He has been accused by a liar -- this liar wants to be a porn star -- he is being financed by a porn movie director. While I truly believe your hearts are in the right places I feel that boycotting the tabloids and news is not the answer. Clay himself has been doing that very thing and frankly, it isn't working. The stories are getting bigger and bigger and more numerous. The stories will continue to grow and multiply. If someone throws a load of crap in your path, I would think the wisest course is to avoid it and continue your journey rather than stepping in it, trying to clean it up, or tossing it back in anger. The stench will cling to the one who tossed it and those playing in it and smearing it around. You remain unsoiled. One can either fight the lies or live the truth. Clay lives the truth. As long as Clay is in the public eye, there will alway be lies that serve a purpose to the liars. Clay has more positive uses for his time. In the end, the result will be the same. I do know, however, that Clay is not stupid nor suicidal. One would have to believe him both to believe the fairy tale being told. I also know he is incapable of being in two places at once. So far, I believe the only legitimate paper that picked this up is in Chicago..columnist named Bill Zwecker who has printed other things that would serve to "out" people. It seems to be an effeminate man type of response. I have Emailed him and I'm sure many others have also. I think Clay is ignoring this because responding gives the perpetrators publicity which is what they want. It's cheap publicity for the National Enquirer. They are in business to occasionally come up with a winner story and then surround it with all kinds of crap. My heart hurts for Clay, but I think he's smart, tough and stubborn, and he'll do what he thinks is best. He's always despised the tabloids. I remember him referring to a story about his LA house as "smut" Lastly, He goes out in public with a hat pulled down so he won't be recognized. i am tired of defending clay its time he defends himself. thats all I ever see the claymates do they always jump to his denfense. And i used to but not anymore. We dont know him we all think we know him. I am praying God will expose it all and make him deal with it once and for all. If this story in th enquirer is false then Clay could sue the pants off of them. Who would want naked pictures of themself in the paper? for everyone to see. Doesnt he care about his REPUTATION at all! No he is off in Europe while all of this is going on. does not mention anything to his wonderful fans. Acts like nothing is going on. His fans deserve to know because he portrays himself as a sex symbol winking at us and tugging his shirts and giving us the eye look. I am reading some of this shaking my head in disgust. First of all for Clay for even putting himself in this situation in the first place and his DELUSIONAL fans who think this isn't him. PICTURES DO NOT LIE!!! National Enquirer and STAR would get SUED if they posted fake pictures of somebody and ruin their reputation. Not only would Clay have a case to sue them but RCA could too.

This episode never happened. Is this Paulus a crazed "Fan", a psychopath who seeks to destroy what he cannot have or be? There is a dark evil motive behind all this. And what is the motive. On the face of it it seems senseless.
Is it the back-up singer who got fired because he wouldn't stop crusing the gay bars on the tour? In an interview he claimed that HE was really the star and that the fans were his, and that they would follow him. Never happened.
Is this a revenge? The gay community is a powerful community. If one of their own is wronged, revenge is swift. Hell has no fury like a woman (read gay guy)scorned,(read fired).
I believe there should be an investigation by a private detective and pssibly criminal charges brought.

Aiken has the advice of one of the best law firms in the entertainment business and he is doing exactly the right thing in this situation. Silence is golden when you are dealing with those whose existence depends upon attention. There is plenty of time (statute of limitations) for a lawsuit if he chooses; it's always best to wait until your opponent has played all their cards. And just for the record, my children have produced better photoshop jobs than those ridiculous tabloid shots. If they are sued, malicious intent must be proved by Aiken. They can always say that the photos were so obviously fake that they never intended for readers to take them seriously. After all, what intelligent, critically-thinking person believes anything "reported" in a tabloid? Aiken will be fine. He's not experiencing anything that most every big star has to go through in their career.

Here is an excerpt of an article from the Daily Utah Chronicle about Allan Butterfield, the author of all the American Media "stories" on Clay:
"For those unfamiliar, Butterfield is a reporter for the National Enquirer - yes, the supermarket tabloid - and is the one who "broke" the gay sex-ring story about Ed Smart and several of his brothers. (Ed Smart is the devoutly Mormon father of kidnap victim Elizabeth Smart.) The story was based on information obtained from unnamed sources. (Gee, I wonder if one was a gay teacher in Boston?) Later it became known that some unnamed sources were paid $10,000 each. (Paulus surely got more since he shopped the story around to the highest bidder.) In the end, the information proved to be false and two reporters, Kevin Cantera and Michael Vigh of The Salt Lake Tribune, were fired due to their involvement in the fiasco."
Interesting, eh? He likes to write fictitious stories accusing people of being gay, like it's some kind of crime. The homophobia inherent in these tabloid smear campaigns, and festering like sepsis at KCE and Soulful, is shockingly apparent and downright frightening in 2006.

I really have to wonder what the USA is letting into the Marines today. If Paul could not defend himself against Clay"s sexual assult on him than I'm afraid for our Military. Clay is treating this situation as he did the bullies in his school days. He is a confident man that knows who he is. He does not let other people define him. The people with the self-esteem issues are the vile, evil, and extremely sad ones who strive to destroy good. I doubt these mean-spirited people feel good about themselves, their jobs, their communities, or any other aspect of life. Pity these sad, sad, sad people!! Clay will be fine! His family will be fine! His fans will be fine! Clay has answered the question already. He is focused on making a postive difference in his journey through life. He can only imagine the postive impact he has generated through his outlook on life. I would truly hate to have made my living writing such garbage or teaching my students to write such tabloid trash! I have nor will I read it. I would rather have the Clay Aikens in my class, even with all his snarly behavior.

This is SOOOO rediculous! IF (and I do mean IF) Clay is gay it should not make a difference to anyone else. What he does on his free time is his own business. Any true fan respects him for the person and the performer he is, NOT his sexual preference.

Why must comments like "If Clay is Gay" be made? How may ways must Clay say "I am not gay" before people will believe him? This is why these awful untruths about him being gay are being told. He is one of the most honest and kindest gentlemen in the music world today; we are so fortunate to have in this business! When asked in an intervies, Clay has said he is heterosexual and he wants to marry and have a family one day. Why can't people believe this! He didn't have to answer these personal questions, but he did because people were questioning his sexuality and he thought he was putting it to rest once and for all, but look, people are still MAKING THESE COMMENTS!

They are outraged at this jerk for spreading these outrages lies and giving the gay community such a bad light. This is certainly an emotional battle. Indeed, it would be as so many hearts have been captivated by Clay's gifts, personality, generosity and convictions. The tabloids have always existed to denigrate and sensationalize men and women who are in the puplic eye---what,s new? It would be comforting and reassuring to hear more from folks working in the legal and journalistic arenas. For all you fans, remember that Clay is an intelligent individual who knows when and how to handle this situation and he certainly is bright enough not to have done what was reported. It's a shame that many people, including many businesses feed and succeed on negative news and negative headlines.
So many successful people and successful businesses get dragged down and tarnished by these profit seeking or negative thinking people.
The fact that these individuals and business have targetted Clay as their object of negative news making, is proof positive how very successful Clay Aiken has actually become. They would certainly not focus on any unknown person or average joe on the street.
Only someone who has become a household word and extremely successful will bring the focus to their cause or negative news. There is a big segment of our society that live in this negative world and feed off of the grief and hurt brought on by tragedy or false accusations by others. There is very little we can do to change the minds of these negative thinkers.
Our family thinks and lives in the positive world. We just look at all this negative news as proof positive how successful and bigger than life Clay Aiken has actually become. The more these negative people spit and spin their hatred while Clay remains silent, is certainly a testament on how strong, steadfast and highly educated this young man has become.
Bravo Clay! No need to ever to down to their level.

It's a treat to read someone that has taste and commonsense. Likewise the people making comments. A real pleasure. Not sure I should post this here or not - so feel free to erase if need be. I Photoshop. It is my work and my hobby. I know a great deal about it and at first glance at those pictures depicted in the star and tabloid I felt sick.
Then I got to work in Photoshop. Didn't have to do a think...but just made a sepia negative of it and oh boy look what showed up! Comments are mine.

There was an updated and I must say ,uplifting, article in the Post Chronicle today written by Jim Brogan. He has been following this story on Clay very closely and he said that "they were contacted by no less than two sources that indicated to them that the reported pictures of Clay Aiken standing in front of the webcam might not be Clay but a gay Aiken impersonator by the name of Coti Collins."
He goes on to say that "While persuing info, the crack Post Chronicle gossip team uncovered this gem on a well known Gossip blog commentary section:" John Paulus met Mr. Collins at a gay Legends bar and the two conspired to bring the salacious story to the gay media and tabloids hoping to make a porn movie spoofing American Idol." "All was a total fabrication thought up originally by John Paulus to enhance his porn career. Mr, Michael Lucas of Lucas Entertainment did not know of the plot."
So, the truth is finally beginning to surface and John Paulus is being exposed for who he truly is--Scum, out to destroy a descent man and for what? Money? 15 minutes of fame?
For those of you who are interested, go and look up the article yourselves, it was wonderful to read some truth for a change and to see a good man's name being cleared. Spread the word!
