That's not even all of it really, I know I didn't get all the names from the entire Aery... it was pretty crowded.

Otherwise, in ground camps, the most excitement I had was running two characters at a time and tanking Behemoth on Diomedes' MNK/NIN while playing BRD at Fafnir. Funny thing was, I'd kinda totally called that happening to Vagus in /tell just before, as well. It would figure, of course.

OH YES.

Something I wanted to address. Some posts back in discussion about my WHM Slow landing on Tiamat and being able to tell Senrez whether or not it was still on based on "no effect" messages, someone tried to tell me that if a spell is resisted when it is already on the mob, you will still get "no effect" messages. I knew this was incorrect, but I didn't have anything available to prove otherwise, nor could I think of exactly how I'd come to this conclusion.

Of course, then we started Salvaging more and I was on BRD; and I remembered it was mostly Cerberus where I saw this happen.

In both shots, Carnage on a re-sing (to reset timer, I constantly sing before it wears, as we do on Cerberus because of his high resist rate.. so each BRD is always singing Carnage, while it's already on) gets resists, and Battlefield lands but has no effect because Carnage is already on (Battlefield would also overwrite itself, like Carnage does).

So, yes, if you get resisted when a spell is on, you get RESIST messages, not "no effect" messages. Now that that is solved, moving on.

Speaking of, I have decided that in addition to my (long-neglected) Taru Death Watch, I will now be adding the Galka Dance Watch to my blog. I kind of thought of it before, but it was Nikkei's total fascination and amusement with Galka /dance4 that made it a must-do.

GALKA DANCE:

Random Einherjar, had to do another tier 1 for someone who didn't have the tag. Wivre boss, 1 set of ghosts, easy win. No idea where I'm at on ampoules, not that I can really decide on an item to get. Possibly the Morgana's Choker, as a nice MND/MP piece on RDM, and decent for standing; could use in place of Enfeebling Torque in many many cases.

I do believe that's me.. in a merit party. Got a couple merits out of it, was just a quick one after camps one day.

Oreo and I found a nice group of guys from WoW that invited us to EXP and got a level or two on MNK and THF, respectively. Ore EXP'd with them a couple days later, too, but I hadn't been online, and now he's gone and hit LV48, and I'm still 43. Ah well, s'all good, I can't really afford leveling another job right now (quickly, anyway, which should suit others fine once I hit LV46).... for reasons I will soon disclose!

GALKA DANCE:

On a recent run of the JPs in TK to their Salvage, they had space available for people in Zhayolm to do frog bosses and free drops available, so they asked if Oreo and I would like to go. I was quite happy I did. Now to get the funds to upgrade.... what I had was already cut into because of this:

In fact, I will be signing in as I'm writing this post to pick up the completed Marduk's Tiara.

And I have a plan for funds for the body, it's just a matter of waiting for things to sell. I'm not entirely sure how I ended up 3/5 Marduk when I had pretty much nothing for quite a while, and then both Payu and I got the legs done... and only need one piece for hands, and I think both the 25 and 35 for feet, I never actually remember.

Did some sky Friday night for event after the Salvage runs. I started off BLM, but switched to RDM/DRK when some people needed to leave.

I learned that there are indeed people that do find me intimidating. Or... doll NMs anyway.

I did have some fun on BLM though, @Faust etc.

Got at least Genbu in before I passed out. Damn you, Yuchi. (To be fair, she used Elemental Seal. )

EXP on Bahamut... we're LV62-63 now. Fun times.

How do I remember how to spell his name? I think of Double Stuf Oreos; the Os on the end are the cookies, the 'r' is just.. there. Then Double E, Double O for the filling!

Okay, so this week, Oreo's DRK caught up to my COR and we had been talking of EXPing together when he did for some time. So we said, Let's XP! and he said he needed to afk quickly and he'd be back if I wanted to.

So I start getting all my COR gear, which is a massive bitch, off my alt's mule and sending off stuff so I have enough space, etc.

30 mins later or so I'm ready, bebopping around, went off to Whitegate where I like, never go, and am waiting for Ore's return, as he still has said absolutely nothing...

I finally do a /sea and he's in a PT. -.-

Fucking Tarus.

Anyway, I guess that PT disbanded after an hour or so, and we got a PT together; though I almost didn't take it because it was a LV67 BRD/NIN (I don't much care for /NIN at 75, I'm not going to like it at 67) and he blind invited me before sending me a tell! But it was all good, and I join and lo and behold THERE IS OREO!

This was our last fight of the PT, to get the NIN his level, so the WHM decided to jump into the fun; she was NOT a melee WHM.

So la la la, we're doing some really great EXP, and I keep making passive aggressive remarks about getting Oreo killed, and trying to bribe the WHM and such to not kill him; and once I even stole Oreo's kill - he Souleatered, TA'd or whatever and I Slug Shotted and killed the mob. (That actually wasn't intentional, I had started setting up for the WS and clicked the macro when I saw him Souleater. It was still funny, though. )

Anyway, to my absolute joy:

I also got a PT last night which I'd had to leave when some Tiamat fun started happening and I was possibly needed if we got a chance to pull, but not before I hit COR67. No Oreo here, he was in a different EXP PT.

HNM this week, hm.

NQs like crazy this week; I went BLM most of the time usually, though the above Ada my NIN got to make a showing (I believe that was first day Aspi, as I recall I was /DRK). Got a few fun nuke numbers here and there... That was when I'd forgotten my Zenith Mitts too; I'd thrown on Yigit Gages but actually not sure if the equip line worked on this particular nuke.

So close.

But back to the Chronicles of Oreo: Or maybe he'd rather I NOT focus on him.

I missed our Fafnirs, but I do know we got two Ridills this week, back to back. Insanity.

Oh, and TK got KB this week, but I was not there. Nothing remarkable in drops though. Otherwise, the HNM scene has provided some amusement this week, but nothing we really directly have seen. Or *I* have seen, I guess, just stuff I keep hearing. I can't even go into much detail because I barely understand what's going on myself, outside a shell that doesn't deserve respect not getting it. /shrug

Well, one more Oreo bit. Did the Poroggo Madame Salvage run again; Kaeko DC'd as we pulled the 6th(?) floor one which left us in a bit of a lurch; the only mage then was me on BRD. Got pretty hairy, and Oreo died (didn't get that screenshot though ), as did Screamer who ran with us this time; and Payu. Payu got up, Kae came back.. Oreo was leader, so we had to disband as I was kiting the stupid Poroggo around and making sure slips stayed on her, then Payu would take her for a bit and kite while I cured up.. we got Kae in, he bound and killed her (we had her to 3% by that point I believe), and I'd say it was decently worth it.

Okay, so enough about Oreo. Here is a picture of Payu with some man's ass.

Okay, that's odd. I mean, I knew Senrez was a bad influence on him, but that's just plain strange.

Oh, oh.. wait. Here, look at this. Ohhhhhhhh, that's right. The focus was supposed to be Payu's new Nashira Crackows. TOO BAD HE'S A TARU AND EVERYTHING IS SO DAMN SMALL YOU CAN'T SEE IT ANYWAY!

And I, as you can see, got the Nashira Seraweels, which is a lovely addition to my RDM and also helps my WHM Enfeebling set get that much closer to complete. I have also been contemplating replacing my Healer's Pantaloons with them for Repose and *possibly* Flash; they are only 5 Divine and 3 MAcc vs 15 Divine, but do have the Haste on them which = shorter recasts. I also have the Templar Sabatons which most people do not, so not like I'd lose THAT much Divine in comparison.

Ah yes, Ultima. After sitting on our set so long, and Payu finally having returned, we asked the JPs in TK to help us out just so we'd get the win and drops and not have to fuss around anymore about trying to get people on. They very graciously agreed to help us out, and the drops were those aforementioned. I am beyond thrilled to have those Seraweels, but I cannot believe that in the what, seven Ultimas we've killed, we have never gotten the Gages. It's like my post about SMN gear came back to bite me in the ass.

I'm not disappointed though, we have gotten so many of the Seraweels, so our luck with those has been quite a bit beyond those of other shells. It's just weird isn't it; I was on top of the list for the Gages since we started Ultima because of my SMN, and yet I got legs before I got Gages. It's like how I finished BRD and SMN Relic before getting like, even one piece of Koga. And how I will likely also finish SAM relic before getting Koga Tekko.

I have briefly gotten the nickname of {Hecatomb Subligar} by Payu, however, though, since I have (nearly) full Nashira. As most people know, I am called {leg} by the JPs because "ashi" = leg or legs. So now, with my name being so similar and Payu always wanting to call me "Ashira in Nashira," I said "Ashira X Nashira O!" Which then becomes "Nashi", which would be N{leg}... ok, you see where it comes from now, right? Just going to stop. I thought it was amusing, anyway.

The fight itself was fine, though I was dual boxing both Ashi and Diomedes; which is a lot harder to do with a larger group of people, really. I don't know how the BGers do it. Anyway, trying to run both characters out for a Citadel Buster proved challenging for me... And I was so hoping to get a Shadow Ring proc! Hehe.

Went to Campaign on SAM, COR, and SMN this week. SAM and COR I pretty much focused on Jugner, but on SMN on Saturday, I sorta wandered to try some other ones. Crawler's Nest was actually pretty fun, there were only 5 people there, but the mobs weren't too hard; just had to pick one off at a time as they attacked the fortifications or whatever. Eldieme Necropolis is kind of a bitch; I got really lost. -.- Vunkerl Inlet is pretty nifty too, though usually pretty short.

Hit 68 SAM in Campaign, which is the point of this screenshot - since you don't get the nifty "Level Up!" Animation. Ignore the severely underleveled DNC sub, ok? It doesn't say 29, it says 34, I swear.

Also did a few random other Campaign Ops; Streetsweeper and Materiel Storm are pretty easy to get little EXP boosts on random jobs, and I had a bunch of tags sitting around so finally just went through them.

I got better numbers than I recall having done before on SMN in Campaign, which was nice in the smaller battles. My Avatar could tank the mobs and the few other people fighting could beat on them. Couldn't really complain, I got some really nice EXP numbers on a couple of the fights on SMN, and I think I left with like 300 to go before next merit (wanted to get ready for camps /shrug).

Be honest, how many people know/remember that Slug Shot closes Transfixion? oO

And I still <3 Sprites.

I've now completed all three wings of Einherjar on Janice with Bluegartr, so I believe next is an Odin attempt. It should be pretty fun times.

Got the Khimaira boss this time, with three runs of mobs. Kinda super easy because they were all sleepable, hehe. The Manticores have really nasty Riddle, though, which kinda hurt the first few pulls for the BLM pt. Demons, Manticores, and WAMOURA. And so many Aspirable mobs makes it like, triply easy.

The Khimaira (Gorgimera) is kinda randomly resistant. Kinda makes me think of Kirin, except you won't ever hit the really nice numbers ever, there's always like a 50% cap on the magic damage on him or something. But then outside of that, there was like a 50/50 chance of you either doing what max damage you COULD, or hitting like, 10% of that. For me, anyway, there just didn't seem to be any middle ground.
