What is it actually? You need to find that out yourself. Journal Bar for Symbian UIQ 3 is now in early alpha stage and I can see it has some cool ideas behind it. However, the UI implementation is not following UIQ 3 style guideline and I found it hard to click on the tiny-weeny icons to select items. Considering that it was developed by Windows Mobile developers, I hope they will redesign the looks and feels of this app. Nevertheless, it's an interesting concept which will bring useful real-time information such as weather and stock market details directly into your UIQ 3 smartphones. Read some description about it after the screenshots... Tell me if you find this useful will ya! :smile:

Below is a description of the current state of this build and a list of the currently known issues:

Working modules:
1) Weather
2) Stocks
3) News -> old Look & feel (to be changed for the next version)
4) Auto-update for Weather and Stocks (disabled for the New module= in this version)

Work in progress:
1) News – change the design
2) Links
3) General look & feel – redesign of the top screen to place a progress bar (80% done)

Aqualung, i found Journal Bar while doing some research on weather applications for uiq 3. That was before Worldmate free version was released... There are a lot of interesting apps coming to uiq 3 i'm told. Hopefully those will make us happier.

thanks for info again, love to surf your blog for daily, and I had install this app want to have a try, but can't find the country list w/ Hong Kong, anyway I will try to for other country on this apps later, love to be a beta tester too.

I think the recent change on the signing process will allow much more stuff to come out :smile:

But, still, i´d like to see SE, Motorola and UIQ acting being much more active than they are...today´s article at AAS is just an example of how bad they are doing regarding promoting UIQ

I totally agree with what Steve said. I have my own experience dealing with SE PR people and I prefer not to mention it here now, at least not until I felt it needs to be shared.

While Nokia on the other hand, does a good job in promoting their stuff.

I think that is because it is still in very early alpha, hence, it's not very polished. Maybe the developer will improve the design when they release it :wink:

Regarding Bursa Malaysia, I think it cant be configured, I dont know... Seems like the stock are pre-configured and refers to NYSE. Errr... correct me if I'm wrong ... hehehe....
