Danish Prices

,

Consumer prices are currently at their highest level in 18 years, according to figures from Statistics Denmark. From May 2006 to May 2007, prices on consumer goods rose 3.4 percent. Prices on non-alcoholic drinks and food products have risen the most during that period, up 8.1 percent. Bread and milk have particularly increased sharply, while beef prices have nearly doubled since just February. In contrast, clothing prices fell 2.7 percent during those 12 months.

Allright, according to the agreements just made, my wages will go up with 7.8 percent from 2008 to 2009. That sounds like a good raise, but it's not good enough when it doesn't go up as much as the food prices. That's ridiculous. That means my money is worth less than they have been.

I think I'll check the prices on shoes again.

The HappeningDo not! Or else...

Amazing what happens to those that oppose me when a country becomes mine. Of course, you can all keep telling yourselves that it's all a joke, if you wish...

@ Darko ~ I don't think your shoes will fit me. :D

@ Mart ~ Fuel prices are ridiculously high. Luckily I only ride my bike in the weekends, since I live so close to my work, so I use my bicycle to get there.

@ Mik ~ It's a joke. I know it's a joke. :D

Shoes are clothing, right? So the prices on shoes fell 2.7% too :D.

I couldn't find shoes on the list, so I hope you're right. :D I haven't noticed that the prices there dropped though.

Gas prices have gone up so much that people are really having to re-think what they do and how they do it. I was fortunate to go to work at home this past March and then the gas prices went through the roof. :yikes:

I see that it's as bad as over here in France!

We are starting to really struggle! And it does not help the morale when you go to work (usually to be bored out of your mind), spend 2 to over 3 hours in transport to get to said job (can go up to double that time in times of strikes....hummm like today for instance) and then you get home, totally knackered, in a killer mood, you then put the TV on and be fed stupid programs and then you finally get your wage slip at the end of the month and realise that....well basically that was all for nothing because it seems like an uphill struggle all the time...But hey, perhaps I am being pessimistic here... Some people probably enjoy their work and find it is all worthwhile (I hope there are such people)

Am I the only one to feel like that? awww

I really like my job, but my boss has started to act really weird lately, saying things that makes me go either "huh?" or "doh!" and that can really ruin my mood.

What really can make me being pessimistic is that it's not only the "luxury" groceries' prices that go sky high. I bought some oatmeal this saturday, and the price has gone up 60% since last month! :yikes: Milk prices have gone up a lot too. I mean, that's basic groceries!

*shakes head*
