Crash of the Titans

, ,

Do you know Crash? If not, let me introduce you to him. Crash is a game character made for the PlayStation console. He was in his first game, Crash Bandicoot in 1996. 10 years later it was also emulated on the PlayStation Network, through which it can be played on the PlayStation Portable and, as of Operating System update 1.70, on the PlayStation 3. I have also seen Crash of the Titans for both Wii and X-box.

Crash has gone through a lot since 1996. Crash Bandicoot 1, 2 and 3, "Crash Nitro Cart" and "Crash Mind over Mutants" are a few I remember.

I just bought "Crash of the Titans" for my PSP. It's been a while since I gamed, the last games I played was "Sims Busting Out" and "Tekken 5", both for PSP. So I thought I wanted something new, and since Crash has always appealed to me, I decided for this one.

I started playing it a few days ago, and I am already bitten by it. In Crash of the Titans, Crash is able to beat his enemies and hijack them so he can gain control of their huge and various powers.

One of the reasons that I like Crash is that he is both cute, adventorous, and sure knows how to kick ass!

It's so cool. I already love the game!
There are only two minuses so far:
- Some of the levels are a bit long, and you can't save in between levels. So sometimes I have to play for a longer period of time than I intended.
- I get sore thumbs.

Lol, I remember the original game on the Playstation - I got it when they both first came out! I loved the Crash games as a child, but... I don't like platform games much now.

:D @ Carol & Darko

@ Kimmie ~ I loved the first one. The next one I had was the Crash Nitro Cart, but I didn't like that game much. To me that was just another race game, the only difference between Nitro Cart and the other ones is the characters who run the cars.

theoddbod 26. June 2008, 07:18

Where'd the other new post go? :eyes:

Spaggyj 26. June 2008, 07:35

Yeah, I've never been much for cart games, either.

attilasoul 26. June 2008, 07:39

The other post wasn't finished yet Mart, I just forgot to tick the "private" thingee.

What are your favorite game just now, Kimmie?

rose-marie 26. June 2008, 07:51

I remember Crash :D. Never played him, though. I never really liked platform games.

Cois 26. June 2008, 09:57

As a kid you got to looove Crash.. p: not kit but kid Tilla.. :D

Spaggyj 26. June 2008, 10:19

You mean genre or actual game?

Dacotah 26. June 2008, 10:34

:D

attilasoul 26. June 2008, 10:41

@ Rose ~ I like these games. I also like Spyro the Dragon. Cuties.

@ Cois ~ but... but... they only state how old you must at least be to play the game. Never: "Don't play this if you're over 16!" :D

@ Kimmie ~ I meant actual game.

@ Carol ~ :D

There was a small scene on Angel where Spike (a several hundred year old vampire) and a multi-millenia old demon are sitting in an apartment and playing Crash Bandicoot while trying to figure out why he needs to collect so much fruit. It's hilarious.

attilasoul 26. June 2008, 13:24

I haven't seen that, but that sounds really funny!

Furie 26. June 2008, 13:32

It's just one of those wonderful moments with a twist. The sort you'd expect when two pensioners play video games, but don't expect cause they're so young looking that you forget their age.

So Crash is a lot like Tilla then?

I'm with Rose here. I remember Crash but never played it.

attilasoul 26. June 2008, 15:44

Awww Moe, you sweet talker you! :o:

I remember when I saw the Tekken game for the first time. I couldn't imagine that anyone could find a fighting game funny. Not until I tried it. :ninja:

Awww Moe, you sweet talker you! :o:

I don't want to get on the wrong side of the catfia, do I? P:

attilasoul 26. June 2008, 15:48

I like that!

Spaggyj 26. June 2008, 15:57

Er... Well... Hmmm. Probably The Movies for PC. I'm waiting for two epic games.

Moesring 26. June 2008, 16:01

I've got The Movies. :headbang:
:sst: Not played it for ages though awww

attilasoul 26. June 2008, 16:02

I don't even know what kind of a game it is. awww

Moesring 26. June 2008, 16:04

Spaggyj 26. June 2008, 16:05

It's a simulation game. You build and manage a movie studio from scratch, year starts at 1920. You manage staff, actors, and make your own movies. It's really cool.

attilasoul 26. June 2008, 16:10

That looks really cool. I think I've seen it in the stores as well. Hmm, well, maybe. When I get tired of cute little Crash.

theoddbod 26. June 2008, 20:24

I played through the Movies once, but got a bit bored. It's now on my 'sell on Ebay' list. If you really get into it you can do some very clever stuff, but I didn't have the patience.

attilasoul 26. June 2008, 20:30

Well, if it takes patience, then... I might reconcider...

Furie 27. June 2008, 09:24

It takes a lot of patience to create your own movies. I'm waiting til Kim's unlocked everything before I make Espen Goes On A Rampage.

Furie 27. June 2008, 09:25

I'm guessing at Resi 5 and Fable 2 as the epic games.

theoddbod 27. June 2008, 10:34

Yes, you really need to get into it. The most i ever did was splice scenes together, but you can use your own script, sounds and graphics, chang angles and lighting, costumes...pretty much anything if you want to.
I think there are lots of movies on the site that people have created, but i never looked.

Furie 27. June 2008, 12:01

There are. I reckon I've got a movie or two in me. Have to see if I can post them here if I ever get round to it.

theoddbod 27. June 2008, 23:57

I've probably got a script in me :D
