Taming of the Shrew

,

I went to the theater yesterday to see a play called The Taming of the Shrew. It is a play by William Shakepeare about a courtship between two strong-willed people. About how a scoundrel marries an outspoken, intelligent, and bad-tempered shrew, only to tame her to get her money.

The actors played fantastic. But I didn't like the play at all. In fact, the play left me in a very bad mood.

No stars.

Fuck you, Shakespeare!

:sst: Catching a troll might make your mood happy again? :D

That would surely help, Carol. *hugs*
The fun thing is, that the play is called "Trold tæmmes" in Danish, like Taming of the Troll. :D

I see a little shrew that needs some taming.. p: are you disappointed at the storyline or the acting?

theoddbod 14. September 2008, 09:27

Looks like women hate the storyline, especially these days

What? Women are things. p:

r♡se 14. September 2008, 11:28

That bad, huh...

Attila 14. September 2008, 11:50

@ Cois ~ You know, I actually liked the shrew until she was tamed!
The actors played really bad. Acting alone would have gotten all six stars. Unfortunately the storyline gets minus 6 stars... so...

@ Mart ~ Excactly. It was outrageous!

@ Kimmie ~ Thanks, that helped!

@ Mik ~ Wow, you are corageous!

@ Rose ~ It stunk! And behind me sat a man who was just as upset as me, so it's not just because I'm a girl.

The Dark Furie 14. September 2008, 13:57

I didn't say that. :left::right: Lee Majors did.

Attila 14. September 2008, 13:57

Ok, I'll delete that "corageous" from your latest test!

Stomyr 14. September 2008, 18:56

I'm sorry

Attila 14. September 2008, 20:06

Thank you Stomyr, I'm ok now. But Shakespeare is lucky that he is dead!

Stomyr 14. September 2008, 20:17

xD

Cois 16. September 2008, 01:44

He's not dead at all..

Darko 16. September 2008, 04:57

He is multiplied!!! :eyes: :insane:

Attila 16. September 2008, 05:27

I'll take care of his descendant ...

Cois 16. September 2008, 13:33

It's in Danish! p: :left: I think..that's his descendant?

I just found out yesterday that Helsingör is called Elsinore in English - thanks to Shakespeare. I like it :D.

Attila 17. September 2008, 19:50

Hopefully it's Elsinore you like and not the play :left:

r♡se 17. September 2008, 20:06

Yes, the name . I never did care much for Hamlet (the play).

Cois 20. September 2008, 11:39

Did someone say ham?.. :chef:
