Sexual Abuse?

A worried neighbour called the police and reported the sexual abuse of a woman neighbour in a flat in the Farum Midtpunkt complex north of Copenhagen during the night.

The neighbour reported being particularly alarmed at the woman's screams, to the accompaniment of cheering howls.

However, when police arrived, they found the lady of the house to be quite happy and rather surprised to see officers.
It transpired the screams came from the house parrot, while the cheering grunts came from her dog reacting to the parrot's screams.

"Officers saw it themselves when the parrot and dog put on their show for the officers, who then quietly left the apartment," says the North Zealand Duty Police Officer.

It remains unclear whether the officers were able to settle the argument between Polly and Rex.

I wonder why the parrot learned how to scream. It's not exactly an everyday sound... or is it? :insane:

Kimmie 27. September 2008, 09:13

Bloody hell

Cois 27. September 2008, 10:07

Great story, though I gotta wonder what taught the parrot to make those noises.

Attila 27. September 2008, 13:06

Birds can learn to say the weirdest sounds. I had a friend whose bird (and it was not a parrot) said the same sounds as their broken laundry machine. They didn't notice it before the machine was replaced with a new one, and the sounds continued!

Bea 27. September 2008, 13:25

that's why I never liked parrots! :D

my neighbour in front of my house have many parrots :faint:

Attila 27. September 2008, 13:26

I am afraid of them. They're evil. :insane:

Bea 27. September 2008, 13:34

they're evil!! the best definition ever!

Cois 27. September 2008, 13:47

One of my mates breed parrots.. The african greys that live in the house say the weirdest stuff and mimic the telephone perfectly. When I first saw them the phone was constantly ringing and when I asked him to get it he said its the parrots.. p:

We have a famous cockatoo on our island called Delilah - she is hilarious... She is spends most of her day with the owners of a tire-repair shop, she watches you when you arrive to get your tires fixed or replaced, the way she looks at you is unnerving... she literally sizes you up and out comes this "Hi" and so, curiousity keeps customers around her... but GOD! When you leave her, she goes into screech mode and really swears at you for leaving her... eventually she calms down and says this really sweet "Goodbye" and actually puts out her hand, claw? out for you to give it a shake... I love her! There´s a photo of her somewhere... on opera, I think in my 365 album. :D I want a raven for a pet one day...they´re so pretty!

I heard an interesting story about some american dude who took his tv in for repairs. The repair man asked what was wrong so ve dude told him that the tv kept changing channels for no reason. The repair man sat for a week with the tv but could find nothing wrong. The man kept bringing the tv back with the same 'fault'. Eventually, the repair man went to the customer's house. It turns out that many american tv's use an ultrasonic remote controll. The customer had a parrot that had learned how to imitate the remote.

We can conclude that some neighbors don't have much to do and take care of other neighbors' life! P:

Cois 28. September 2008, 00:30

Budgies are supposed to be able to imitate also..
When I had them the little gits must've not been able to understand english.. :irked: p:

Attila 28. September 2008, 04:14

@ Issy ~ That's amazing bird behaviour! Is she in a cage? Great story!

@ Adil ~ Imagine the thoughts that go through the head of the parrot: "Quit the sports! I said Animal Planet for heaven's sake!":lol:

@ André ~ I actually like the fact that people react instead of just wondering what the screaming is all about.

@ Cois ~ Yes, the bird that imitated the broken washing machine was a budgie!

At the beginning of NATO bombing of Serbia in 1999. there was a dog near my friend`s house who learnt how to imitate siren for airborn attack. At first I was really confused, thinking there was another raid on, but then I realised it was the only "siren" that I hear. Poor dog probably thought there were many other dogs howling during the day and night and just wanted to join the choir

Attila 28. September 2008, 08:22

Awww, poor dog, who didn't realize it wasn't a huge pack of dogs howling in his neighbourhood! awww

Cool story Darko!

Yeah she lives in a cage, her owner Leonardo says she is older than him... Leonardo is already in his fifties. Delilah was a gift, given to him in the States and he brought her to Faial.

Attila 28. September 2008, 18:01

That's really something, Issy, I love the story. And I love her name too. Delilah... has a special ring to it.

Andre 28. September 2008, 19:36

Yes. Reacting shows that they really care about us. But some neighbors just care about our lives :D

Aadil 29. September 2008, 01:47

What suprises me is that the police actually responded. No one really expects the police to respond around here. And they always have such good excuses, like the van is busted etc.

Attila 29. September 2008, 04:11

If someone reports an incident like this, the police will show up. Even though it's be critized that our police isn't visible enough in the streets. But I believe we have a good police system compared with you.

Cois 29. September 2008, 18:50

Wanna come visit?

Cois 29. September 2008, 18:50

Wanna come visit?

Attila 30. September 2008, 04:07

Sure. But not to see how your police system works.

Aadil 30. September 2008, 08:55

Bring your own body guard then. .
The cops just don't have the resources, mental or otherwise, to cope with the crime here. In fact, even the gangsters are complaining about the lack of police in thier territories.

Attila 30. September 2008, 13:03

I thought you guys would be my bodyguards... :left:

r♡se 1. October 2008, 18:38

That parrot is probably abused and forced to pretend that she screams willingly awww.
