Sicily, Me, Blogger, Holidays
One week is definitely not enough to experience it all. I stayed on the east coast of Sicily, very near the Volcano Etna, and it was a huge experience.
I took almost 900 photos during the week I was there, so I promise you that you will not see them all here on my blog. 
First of all it will take me some time to go through them and to pick the best ones, and second of all I will present some of them by writing blog posts about various topics. Just like I did with the photos from my other trips.
Here is a little appetizer - it's Etna in the sunset. 
Another thing is that it may take me a while to catch up with everything here. I had "only" 76 items on my watch list, but those bloggers who wrote more than one post during the week count only as one, so I got a total of news items of 150!! 
Furthermore I got almost 50 emails - and even though many of them are not supposed to be answered, they are still supposed to be read. Just so you know. It is not because I have unwatched your blogs. I just take them one by one.
Anyway. It's great to be back. I almost had withdrawal symptoms.

I am in a very good mood today. I'll tell you why. I woke up early, did my morning training, showered, put up a new post, and started to clear my watch list. And somebody really made my day by posting a certain post.

I have heard that the Danish summer tastes of strawberries. I don't know if it is true, but I do know that I love strawberries. I remember one year when I was just a little girl, my dad and I had strawberries every single day during the summer. It was a wonderful summer that year!
These are Sonata Strawberries. A new crossing between Polka and El Santa. Possibly the sweetest strawberries I have ever had, and I have eaten a lot of them!
These strawberries are from my dad's little garden. I forgot to ask him what sort it is, and as you can see these aren't quite ready to eat yet. I found a couple of red, ripe ones though, and they tasted almost as sweet as the Sonata ones.
Oh yes, it was surely a fantastic weekend this one!

This post is inspired by a talk I had with a close friend yesterday. A friend that makes a big difference to me.
Do you know the type of person who always try to make other peoples day? A person who will cheer you up when you are feeling down, and will party with you when you're on top of the world? A person who can make your day a little easier, just by saying a few words?
I met such a person the other day. "Met" may not be the correct word, because I never really saw the person. Neither do I know the person's name, nor if it's a man or a woman. I didn't talk with the person either. But I do know that this person made me smile and feel a little bit better that day, just out of the blue.
I was in the supermarket, and after finishing my grocery shopping I stopped by the big billboard next to the exit door. You know, the billboard where people try to sell their ugly sofa or to get someone to walk their hysterical doggies. My eye got caught by a big drawn heart. The text in the heart said: "Good day!" 
I walked closer, and read the text below the heart: It said "Have a good day". I was amazed. What a cool way to make people smile!
Of course I took a slip with me. I mean, who doesn't want to have a good day!?
So thank you, whoever you are, for brightening up my day!
Sometimes it takes so little to make a difference for other people. So don't just sit there. Do it!
