Words were floating on the breeze...

and I caught some to put here!!!

What the &%#@?????

Hey,

what happened to Opera?

I just logged in today and my page was different. The top bar is in Spanish and there are different buttons and in another style.

Is your blog the same way?? Why mine is in Spanish? :left: All the links, buttons and all words are in Spanish!!!!! :eyes:

Is it just in mine?

November deserves at least one post, doesn't it?The legend of Billie Jean

Well ... the behind-the-scenes Opera folk are in Norway ...

Try going to "My Page" at the top, select "Account" than on Profile select "Edit My Profile" scroll down to "Languages

Preferred language: Is this set to English?

I don't know if this is the way to change it or not. Worth a try.

They don't say how to change it here:
"Now available in 5 languages

You can now have most parts of My Opera's user interface translated into Norwegian, Chinese, Italian and Spanish. You can change language using the drop down menu available at the bottom of this page. More languages such as Vietnamese, Japanese, etc. will follow soon."

Ahha, I think I found it.
At the bottom of your page is a drop down menu, at the very end of your sidebar on the right, does it say English?

but Opera does look so different now. do the photos on your blogs appear? here I can't see the images.

The avatars just came back. We can't upload an image yet. When they get it fixed I think the ones we had as a display photo will show.

What I hate is the PM---having to scroll left and right because it is wider than the screen! Did they ever thing of asking us how we would like things! They gave us things we don't need and did not give us things we do need!

Kitty 19. November 2008, 07:09

The language was set to Norwegian for me - and it took me some time to change it back to English. :left:

I am glad you got yours changed too!

Bea 19. November 2008, 10:59

Yes, the whole blog looks different and will get a while untill we get used to. I agree with the fact they could ask for some things opera members like and dislike. It would be a good way to keep or change layouts and adds.

The images still don't appear :frown:

But I'm glad my post bring you all here again!!! I missed you!!!

Its something similar to what microsoft did to their Developers Reference [MSDN] recently....

Change is the way of the universe. Isn't it?

Bea 25. November 2008, 14:10

Yes, is the way Shaunak, but... I'd love to know when it will happen! p:
