Francis bring home last Saturday after watched two guys beating and kicking the little cat in the street, in front of our building.

He's just 2 months old and yes, it's 'he', and Francis already took him to the doctor. Was medicated, feed, bath and loved. And he already purr when we get close to him! :D

What will I do with so many cats? :faint:

People who hurt defenceless animals are beyond description. To call them animals would be an insult to animals. I'm sad and upset to hear about what happened.
Thnak God Francis rescued this delightful and most lovely pusscat. He melts my heart as I look at him.

What will you do with so many cats? - you will keep on loving them of course :D :yes:

Omg! So many comments!! Garfield is famous! :D

I'm happy for have helped this little being. He's so smart and was amazing how he got adapted to the house and to Puzzle.

I was talking to Francis that this is something I would really love to do. Take cats from the streets, take care of them and after donate them to someone who really wants. There are some fairs here to people who want donate pets and adopt them as well. And there isn't a house like this in Manaus yet. I was thinking that it's a way to help them, a social obligation and the house wouldn't be so full.

As you may remember, my apartment is very small... so, 3 cats are too much. For us, and for them of course. I still have to take them to a walk at my mom's yard!! p: Otherwise they are very nervous the whole day inside the house.

I can't stand also why people hurt animals. If you don't like, if you don't want one, that's ok, it's your choice. But you need to hurt them just because you don't like. And it's incredible the number of people I know that hate cats. Why? They say cats aren't friendly. I say that "unfriendly" are these people who are unable to understand that they are animals and must be loved, respected. If you don't like, that's ok, but you must understand that each animal has its own characteristics and personality. It's so stupid not to understand that!

by the way, Garfield is now, trying to prevent my comment to be submitted! :lol: He's bitting my hand!! :D

:lol: The curious is that when I met Francis he used to hate cats too. I explained him and showed him how cats are, and then, he finally understood. Now, he loves!! He come home and he first take one by one in his lap, after... he kisses me! :D

Just would also like to say how much I appreciate your explanation about the three cats and how some folks don't like cats. It's very un-smart not to like cats and very malicious & evil to harm any cat and any animals. It amazes me that people think cats aren't friendly. They should try to understand that cats are trustful animals but you have to earn their trust and one of the ways of doing that is to show them kindness and love as a first action. Cat's are special and that's what makes them so different from doggies (I love doggies too) who will wag their tails and happily pee on anyone's leg and crap on their lawns without a second thought. Doggies' brains are full if interesting and exciting smells. PussCats' brains are full of independent thoughts such as - "I shall let you stroke me if you seem kind and gentle and you smile at me and speak in a soft kindly tone"

Garfield now trusts me so much that he's always following me anywhere and wants my lap...

Milky and Puzzle in the beginning were very scared, but now they're friends. Play together and miss one or another when someone is not home. :smile:

glad to know milky & puzzle go along well with garfield, I guess cats,unlike we humans grow friendly with each other after some time even if they aren't initially ...
