A nice Sunday on the museum

,

Two weeks ago, a new museum was opened in my city. It's called Palacete Provincial (or in English, Provincial Palace) and was used for many years ago as the military police headquarter.

The place was closed and restored for many months. And now was open to people and show many interesting things. The museum is in a very nice square. Its name is Heliodoro Balbi's square but as the military station was there, all the people use to call "The Police Square".

The museum is divided in many parts. One of the rooms we visited that most get my interest is about the restore of our Cathedral. The restore last many years and during it, the engineers found an interesting piece:

This was called as the "time capsule". A worker who helped to build the Cathedral in the year of 1859, had the idea of put a letter inside a wine bottle. The bottle was inside of a wall and when the workers were restoring it, they found.
The letter was written by Francisco Canêjo, and he wrote something like his resumé, "Francisco Canêjo was the one who built this Cathedral in the year of 1859, October 8th."
Francisco thought that, if one day someone would destroy that wall, his bottle would be found, and so he'd not be alive anymore. Then, he signed his letter as "Difunto Canêjo" (in English something like Deceased Canêjo). In the image you can the bottle and the letter.

The square at night is much more beautiful:

I loved this last image. It's a huge tree in the square and so well lit with spots. You have the sensation the tree is even bigger.

Yesterday Night...

I saw Sinatra sang by his son Sinatra Jr in my city, in front of the Amazon Theatre!

He ended the 3rd Week of Jazz Concerts and was amazing! Loved it!

The theatre itself was marvelous with the special lights they put on it, and even being far away from the stage, people could see all the concert, cos they put a big screen on the square.

Caos!

,

Part 1 - Trip to São Paulo

,

Hello dears Operabloggers!

Well, gotta tell you how nice was the trip. I spent some days in the coast of São Paulo State, the holidays of the Carnival in Brazil.

But not for carnival, but just to rest and take some beach. It was very nice. I enjoyed so much. And for those who think that São Paulo's beaches are not nice and beautiful, they're wrong. In my opinion (even having meeting few places in my life) beach is always nice! No matter where it is!

I travelled last saturday, 17th. A flight directly to São Paulo capital. Well, the flight was late, we wait for almost 2 hours at the airport, but that's ok! Juju was enjoying and was anxious for the trip.

We got inside the plane at 4pm. and was nice to travel at this time. I could take some nice photos of the forest and of the amazon rivers!

This one for example, show two important rivers in Amazon, the "meeting of the waters"! Rio Negro and Rio Solimões. The black water is called Rio Negro (black) and the yellow water is called Rio Solimões.

It's a nice see!

This one shows better the Rio Solimões. The yellow one!

And in this pic, you can have a better idea of the forest. Isn't it amazing???

Well, the flight was calm and we arrived at São Paulo's airport about 10, 11pm (I can't remember it right). As we arrived in the far airport, we had to take the bus to the other airport, inside of the city to join my bf's aunt, who was waiting for us.

So, we had that. Took the bus! It was about 45 minutes travel to the other airport. I saw many singular and important places of São Paulo city. But as it was at night, and I was tired, I didnt see so well.

We got to the other airport "Congonhas" and so, Keroseni's aunt was there waiting for us. We met each other and got the car dirctly to the beach.

Yes, if you dont know, São Paulo's city is not in the coast, and so we had to take 300km till the city we had to stay, called Itanhaém. Placed in an area called Baixada Santista.

Ok, everybody excited!! Had the road!!

But, it was everytihng ok, less for the driver. The driver was a friend of Keroseni's aunt. And I cant count the times she almost hit the car... My GOD!!!!!!! :yikes:

I was so nervous and so stressed that you can't imagine! Keroseni's aunt cannot drive and so she let her friend to do it so. Keroseni even asked to drive but she told: "No, dont worry, I can drive..."

My GOD!!!! A 300km trip on the road till Itanhaém, and I had to stay in the car...

I prayed a lot! And THANK GOD we arrived alive at the city... but I have to tell you that I was very very afraid. You have no idea so many times we were near of hit the car and had a serious accident... :furious: I HATE YOU ANA!!!!! (I tell this because I'm sure she will never read it..)

So, we arrived in Itanhaém about 2, 3am. and went to rest of this stressed car travel...
