Hi friends!

This week I came back to work. Yes! After few 20 days, now I'm back to slavery.

This whole week was full of late stuffs to do. My dear boss didn't give my activities to somebody, so I had to update everything by myself. Anyway, it was always like that, it wouldn't change in my returning from vacation.

But I heard something I was worried about. Some friends that work in South Brazil, in the city of São Carlos, are saying that this unit, in Manaus, is going to bankrupt. They think it will happen in less than a year...

So, I was worried because: 1- it's my job, 2- there are more than 500 employees that will loose their jobs, 3- it's sad that a factory that exists for more than 70 years in Brazil came to Manaus and cant stay here and have profits.

Looking superficially, I see that this company, came here just for the benefits that Manaus gives more than another place in Brazil, and they came here with none structure.

They didnt trained people to work, they didnt calculate how long it will last untill have the firsts profits, they didnt invested in new machines and in an adequated installation. So, all that we have now is lots of rubbish that the factory has to recicle, people not trained to do their activities (that leads to more rubbish) and few people to work as staff, I mean analists, engineers, supervisors... How can a company work with any engineer??

Yes, we haven't there. And we haven't also process analists, tecnicians, mechanics...

I can't understand. When we need something, somebody from the South come here and try to fix the machine. And it's stressful to work like that. We dont have support, we dont have structure. We even have good computers. And no internet.

I never worked in a place like that, and sincerely, it's difficult to work in there. I'm sad about the new I heard, but it's completely understandable that it happens.

So, this make me think about how much power can have a trademark. That's what happens with the company I work. Only trademark...

Hi my dear friends!

I passed so long time out of the real world... yes... indeed! Buuut, now I'm here. Missing you all and have lots, lots of news to tell you!

I have to say that all the news are great!!

But let's have it one by one!!!!

First of all: Evrybody knows (I think) that I started to work again. I'm working at Faber-Castell. And I was working for the Iso 9001 and 14001 standarlization at the factory. Well, in one month working there, my old boss was fired. And I was called to fill her place. I'm the new boss at the Quality Area.

It's nice, indeed. But till now I didnt negociate my new salary. It was not a proposal, but a rule. My manager told me: You are the new boss.

And that's it!

I have no more social life... I never more went to cinema, shopping, or even went out with friends.

Friends??? What's this???

I'm living a difficult moment in my professional life. It's hard to say no, when I have to say yes, and it's hard to yes, when I want to say no. Can you understand something???

Whatever. It's my routine now leave my workplace at 6, 7pm. I arrive home, take a shower, and just lay on my bed. In 1 minute I'm sleeping!

The other day? Again and again and again. I know, money dont pay it. But in this time, I'm needing this work. And believe me: I'm looking for something else better!

This is my first new.

And then comes more!!!!

Para quem estava sentindo falta das notícias matinais que eu colocava aqui todos os dias, essa é para matar de inveja a todos nós, pobres mortais. Mais precisamente, nós do PIM, que nos matamos dentro da empresa e temos uma única mísera hora de almoço...

Mordomias do Google só aumentam



Se você acha que trabalhar no Google é o máximo, eis aqui mais uma leva de razões para reforçar essa suposição. O Googleplex, a sede da empresa em Mountain View, Califórnia, está cada vez mais cheio de mordomias.

Uma das mais recentes é o Cafe180, um restaurante que só serve alimentos orgânicos, preparados com matérias-primas da região. Vi isso ontem no Washington Post. No Googleplex, como se sabe, todo mundo pode fazer três belas refeições ao dia, preparadas por um chef, a custo zero. Hoje em dia há 11 cafeterias no local.

As mordomias do Google incluem ônibus privado, ginásio de esportes, piscina, creche, patinetes motorizadas e, top do top, toaletes com vasos sanitários aquecidos e botões sem fio nas portas para acionar bidês e secagem dos equipamentos.

A idéia é que funcionários felizes liberam sua criatividade e ajudam o Google na sua modesta missão de organizar toda a informação existente na face da Terra. O número de funcionários já chega a 9 mil.

Resultado: nos últimos dias, Steve Ballmer, o CEO da Microsoft, se queixou que está difícil contratar talentos por causa do poder de atração do Google.
