Words were floating on the breeze...

Ok! My apartment's reform officialy started this tuesday!

Oh my God! I thought I'd never get the builder to do it!

First, we had one that built the house of my fiancé's uncle, and he had many good informations about him! We guessed "wow, he seems to be good!" and so we contacted him to take a look in our apartment. Well, he came and saw. Did all the list to buy materials and stuff to it. And ask the price: 6.000 reais. Something like ~ 12.000 dollars.

I said what????? He's crazy!! I said, "hey dude, we dont have money to spend in it! It's not ours and I don't wanna to spend money in a place I won't stay for a long time!"

So, he got thinking and after asked him to make a big discount, he left it for R$4.500 ~ ($9.000)...

Well, even with a big discount, it's expensive to do just some details. The biggest service was change the floor (that was really bad) and paint all the walls.

So, we tried to make a deal. Pay in diary. Here, builders like to be paid for the whole service, they go to your home, see what have to be done and then they give you a price. In this way they can get more than the diary. This builder asks R$50 for the dairy (~$100) but the problem is that they always have a way to delay the service, so they can get more money.

So, in any case, they'll always get more money than they deserve.

We tried to pay him in diaries, but he didn't accept. He even told us "No, miss, I can't do it", he just didn't answer the phone calls.

After passed all the whole weekend trying to talk with him, we just gave up. We realized he didnt want to do this service. Worse to him. So, we looked for another one and we found!

To our luck, we found one that used to make services at my fiancé mother's house and his aunt's house. And we had good informations about him. Low price, good service. Better for us!

We called him and he came to see the service. He dont paint, so the service wont be realized just in the time we wanted but that's ok, we could look for a painter, it's easy to find one.

The price: R$ 1.000 (~ $2.000)

So, what do you think? Good huh?? Yes, exactly what I thought!! I was so happy with the price that I wanted to give him a kiss!! He asked: "Is it good for you??" I said, "Wow, it's almost perfect!"...

And then he asked "Can I start it now??" I said "Are you kidding me?? Yeah, of course!"

And so he started to work this tuesday, almost 4 pm and stopped just at 7 pm. And he did a lot!

I'm very happy because we got the builder, finally we see our apartment changing and the best, we'll spend really less than we thought.

Now, let's see in a few days how will it look!!
