Shimano's XTR 'pimp kit'


Shimano are apparently planning to release a new line of after-market XTR upgrades under the Yumeya brand which include carbon rear derailleur plates for the rear shifter (saving 11 grams), titanium cassette sprockets (15 grams less for a set of 17/20T), titanium bolts (-25 grams for the total set), a chain with hollow pins (-10 grams) and much more. The XTR "pimp kit" will be on display at Eurobike. More

The new Shimano Saint four-piston brakes apparently boast "brilliantly consistent" performance "with no pump up or fade" on long descents and "spot-on" modulation and "phenomenal" power, thanks to high-volume hydraulic hoses. Shimano's new flat-pedal shoe


Shimano's new AM40 flat-pedal shoe apparently features a "super-grippy" tacky sole, protective Velcro-style lace cover, modular insole system, protective upper construction, grippy soft compound Vibram sole, and reflective detailing on the heel. Lighter, longer-travel Anthem platform for 2009
