Looks like Cannondale are going to relish the prospect of telling their snotty competitors, "We told you so!" The BB30 integrated bottom bracket standard they introduced years ago, for which they got heaps of flak, is now apparently being embraced by folks like FSA and Specialized who agree that, from a strictly engineering POV, the licence-free BB30 is lighter and stiffer than current external-type bottom bracket systems while also offering reduced pedal stance width and longer bearing life.
