Thule's new T2 hitch-mounted bicycle carrier is apparently based on a proven design pioneered by now-Thule-owned Sportworks. It's being promoted as an easy-to-use, quick-loading single-locking arm attachment unit with a multi-position main beam to allow users to fold the rack when not in use, or tilt it down (with bikes) for liftgate access.
