Impressions from the Orfű training camp

I travelled to the training camp Thursday evening, so I joined the trainings from Friday morning. The camp was organised together with the Czech adult national squad. Hm, there are things what we can learn from them - both runners and both trainers..
On Friday there was a long course in a free chosen <easy> tempo with route-choices. The course was 12,7km/600 climb - and 11 controls. I did 101 minutes. I wasn't so tired like others who had trainings on Thursday as well. I've chosen good routes to 2,5,6 - and bad ones to 3 and maybe 11. Maps:
On Saturday morning there were small loops (2-3 controls, dist.:0,55-0,78km) and from different starts. The training was quite complex, we had to do 8 courses. At course 1,2 and 8 I had some mistakes, I was dissatisfied with it and concentrated much on the afternoon course. After the training I ran back to Orfű with some teammates. (4km).
Saturday afternoon there was chasing start - start intervals came from the morning training. I wasn't in a good start position I wanted to proove I'm better. And - this training went well. I concentrated much on technique, and tried to keep tempo on a high level. I catched many runners - I think I finished about 4 places better.
The course was 7,2km I did 46 minutes. (altough from the best Czechs and Adam I got cca. 5 minutes)
Sunday morning there were two trainings - a one-man relay (everybody ran a forked course three times - forked). And the second training was a 7,8 km course with a butterfly. The first training was intresting - with a mass start and difficult first controls. I had a one min. mistake in the beginning. Should concentrate much better at mass stats! Altogether it went good technically altough I was nearly death tired. I finished 11 th. (like yesterday afternoon).
The second training was a wee bit to much after all these, I ran just a 30 min. easy tempo with route-following catching neigbouring controls. It was a very hard training camp, maybe the best ever I've taken part in - considering opponents and technical exercises. And I even did not speak about the "punching tournament" Saturday morning where we practised possible quickest punching in cca. 30 second loops. On Friday afternoon we even visited Pécs - with Zsolt and Czech runners - here a picture with Lucie we like very much =)
