Basketball hoops Ricky Rubio's Horrible Choice About NBA Status
Monday, November 1, 2010 9:58:29 AM
People shouldn't point the finger at the Timberwolves now.
David Kahn honored Ricky Rubio at face value... that he sought to go to the NBA. Although when everything hit the fan... after every one of the strings had been tugged and the hoops jumped-through... Ricky Rubio backstabbed them.
"Playing in Minnesota would have simply complicated my life much. It was a danger and I did not see it so clearly," Rubio insisted. "My main concern was the National Basketball Association and it was unmanageable for the team to pay my buyout clause, so I desired to stay house."
Oh... what a baby. It might have complicated your existence. You mean participating in the American basketball scene and living the alleged fantasy you have? And that part regarding lacking the ability to assume the takeover:
Kahn claimed Rubio's representative, Dan Fegan, came through with a package of sponsorship agreements and sponsorships that helped cause the basketball deal desirable enough for Rubio and Joventut to enter into a deal last weekend.Rubio proclaims the deal came with excessive obstacles... even though it is his negotiator that drew up the contract.
The Timberwolves took a chance on this youth... and they finally worked out a contract to put him in the NBA. But when all was said and done... he was afraid. Hey... it's his prerogative. You don't have to end up where you do not aspire to, Ricky.
Just do not say something and do another thing. Do not back out because you do not like the franchise that drafted you. This is part of the agreement.
It is the same deal any person else enters into. In exchange for making it to the pros, you would have to play someplace you do not want to end up. You believe Blake Griffin is psyched playing for the Los Angeles Clippers? Or fellow Spaniard Pau Gasol was ever pleased about living in Tennessee for all of those years? That's just life, young man.
