Money speaks

Got my money today. Have to go to town to meet my Grandad, pay the council tax and do a few other things.
That council tax is far too much, its £108 per month, thats a huge chunk of money out of people's wages.
I am a little bit better off this week so thinking of treating myself to something. Not sure what yet. I want to get the game Jade Empire for Xbox but want something else too. Why do I feel the need to spend money when I get it? Why can I not save it for a rainy day? Its like a financial disease. But I am not totally bad with money, sometimes I need to justify purchases to myself. For example I was thinking of getting a second xbox for my room but even though it would be nice so I can play xbox in either room, I really do not need one. I might pick up a second hand one if the price is low enough, but certainly cannot justify paying £100 for a brand new one.
